Jealous Ex-Husband Rides 200km to Confront Wife, Fatally Stabs Her New Partner

A jealous ex-husband rode his motorcycle over 200 kilometres to track down his estranged wife, only to find her with a new partner. Overcome with rage and heartbreak, he lured the man into a confrontation and fatally stabbed him in the street.

 

Police in Pak Chong, Nakhon Ratchasima, arrested the suspect, identified as Mr Piti 37, from Samut Prakan, shortly after the attack. The victim, Mr Boonyarit, died at the scene from a stab wound to the chest.

 

On the evening of March 9, local village chief Sahachat Sojantuk of Nong Yang Village, Pak Chong, received a report from a resident, Mrs Thongsuk, 53, about a suspicious man on a motorcycle asking for a woman named only as Ms B. The woman, who had left Samut Prakan a year earlier, was now in a relationship with Boonyarit, Mrs Thongsuk’s son.

 

Concerned about potential violence, Mrs Thongsuk alerted the authorities and called her son, who was working on his farm with his tractor. Meanwhile, Piti waited to confront him. However, he later rode away and encountered Boonyarit returning home. Piti stopped him on a roadside near a monastery, demanding to talk. The conversation quickly escalated, and Piti drew a 20cm knife, stabbing Boonyarit in the chest. The force of the attack was so severe that the knife handle broke.

 

Locals, including monks, witnessed the incident and rushed to help. Emergency responders attempted to revive Boonyarit before transporting him to Pak Chong Nana Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.

 

During questioning, Piti confessed to the crime, stating that he had been in a long-term relationship with Ms B before she left following repeated arguments. After discovering via Facebook that she was living in Pak Chong, he travelled over 200 kilometres to find her. Upon realising she had moved on with a new partner, his emotions boiled over, leading him to commit the fatal attack.

 

Pak Chong police, led by Pol Col Jarin Chintaphala, arrested Piti at the scene with the murder weapon. He has since been taken into custody and charged with murder.
