The same that personal use (if not in public areas) can not be fined / penalized (ensured even more since the incident with the Chinese model). This also explains why you see sellers regardless. Like 30% of tourists alone vape. If it was different than this there would not be debates in the first place. I told that vaping is illegal and people vaping are subject to up to 20 year jail and - or a fine .... ( 20 years sounded quite harsh to me ) . I hope that Thailand makes Vaping legal . It's far less harmful than smoking cigarettes 🚬..... 1
Marco100 Posted March 12 Posted March 12 Ecigarettes and Vaping Devices are two different things . E cigarettes are still using tobacco but heated and no combustion. Vaping Devices are heating liquid with a % of tobacco. I think the Authorities should specify wich one is outlaw as the first is still tobacco like cigarettes.... Nah Good luck with that 🤣 2
Joe Boy Walton Posted March 13 Posted March 13 So where did he get the one note harmonica from? If it's illegal to import them he has a dealer somewhere, that dealer has a supply chain which relies on distributors, smugglers, couriers, money launderers etc. who use bribery, extortion and violence to gain access to resources and often intimidate or bribe law enforcement. I think this simple act is the tip of the iceberg, organised crime, drug cartels, paramilitary groups will be on the rise and any future tourism opportunities will be under threat, I would go so far as to say this guy vaping will be the tipping point for a major upheaval in the South East Asian political arena, ultimately involving China, highlighting corrupt systems throughout the world and causing global conflict on an unimaginable scale, resulting in the downfall of the human race. Or not.

Virtually nothing in this article addresses the fact that vaping is widespread and considered a healthier alternative to cigarette smoking and a way of stopping cigarette smoking which is obviously a positive health outcome. This is the only mention of a discussion that needs to occur in this article. you may want to read up on the facts about vaping and what the health risks are

After decades of smoking cigs I stopped and after a several weeks started vaping. I was suffering badly with intermittent claudication due to PAD. I could only walk about 50 metres before the pain started. After 150 m it was really bad and 500m excruciating (think of walking with a severely torn calf muscle). That's no longer the case. Although the intermittent claudication is still there (due to nicotine in the vape juice) it's >90% improved. Admittedly some dietary changes have also helped. My lungs are also much better than they were and if it wasn't for pollution probably better still. As for giving a link I don't need to. If you want to educate yourself on this matter go right ahead.

dinsdale Posted March 13 Posted March 13 Crackdown continues. Not good but definitely good for the Tobacco Authority of Thailand monopoly. Absolutely no coincidence here. As I said before this crackdown on or possibly eradication of the vaping sector comes from way up the top to protect the monopoly that sells a far more dangerous product..
