Bang Saen Beach Surprise: Boxing Event Mistaken for Youth Brawl

In an unexpected turn of events, over 100 youths gathered at Bang Saen Beach, leading alarmed residents to mistake the scene for a brawl. However, it was revealed to be a live boxing event called Mr Fight, featuring professional boxer Peter Denman.

 

In the early hours of March 12, Saensuk Police Station received reports of what seemed to be a violent altercation by the seaside. When officers arrived, they found an enthusiastic crowd watching a boxing match involving Denman, known for his boxing prowess and social media presence.

 

Concern among locals and tourists prompted police to step in and disperse the gathering, given the area's status as a popular public space. Denman explained that the event was meant as a practice session and scouting location for future bouts, without prior permission from local officials, causing the misunderstanding.

 

 

To resolve the situation, the event organisers relocated Mr Fight away from the beach. Denman assured residents that a more structured boxing event was set for the following day at Wing Su Fud market, encouraging fans to join or view the livestream.

 

This incident underscores the importance of clear communication and official permissions when organising public events to avoid unnecessary panic and confusion, reported The Thaiger.

There's always something interesting happening on Bangsaen beach .... a kite festival last week, a coffee festival last month, regular marathons, parot flying each week, modified pick-up truck meetings, couples caught bonking against the coconut trees, the amazing 'Bangsaen Grand Prix' Street circuit in July, speedboat racing, paramotors doing low passes along the beach ..... and now boxing matches.

 

Yes there's traffic jams at the weekends, and plastic litter, but it's such a fun almosphere - Thailand at it's most vibrant and a reminder to me why I live in Thailand.
