Four Chinese nationals were arrested by Huai Kwang police for working illegally without the necessary permits at a construction site in Bangkok. The individuals, aged between 26 and 42, were caught working on the renovation of a restaurant in Soi Pracharat Bamphen 4, Din Daeng District, during the night of 14 March.

The arrests were carried out under the supervision of Police Colonel Prasopchoke Iampinit, the Superintendent of Huaikwang Police Station, alongside his team, including Police Lieutenant Colonel Rujiphat Thiramonboon, the Deputy Superintendent of Investigations, and Police Lieutenant Colonel Chanaphat Suksawat, the Investigations Division Head.

The arrested individuals were:

1. Mr. Fei Chaoan, aged 32

2. Mr. Fei Luzhong, aged 42

3. Mr. Zhang Long, aged 26

4. Mr. Xu Gong Bao, aged 40

All four suspects were charged under the Immigration Act for working without the appropriate work permits or beyond the scope of their allowed work.

The police operation came after a tip-off from an informant, reporting the illegal employment of foreign workers at a construction site in the area. Upon inspection, authorities found a group of eight foreign workers, four of whom were Myanmar nationals, and the other four were Chinese nationals. While the Myanmar workers had the proper documentation, the Chinese nationals only possessed passports but lacked work permits.

The four Chinese suspects admitted to working as construction workers, performing interior decoration tasks, and were paid 2,000 baht per day. After the arrests, the suspects were taken to Huai Kwang Police Station for further legal proceedings.

The authorities have warned that strict enforcement of immigration laws will continue to ensure compliance and maintain lawful employment standards in the country.
