safe entry to BKK

hey guys  i will back to thailand  in april  and i want to know if you ever use safe entry 

 

 i get denny entry in nong khai on 29 december because i did not  spend 2 day in laos  but  they  let me  back in on 31 december 

 

i did not have any stamp of my denny entry  but i will  come back in thailand after i spend  more than 45 days in europe i will come back with an exemption of visa 60 days 

 

do you know this service ? look like the most serious 4500 b

The situation you describe does not require the service of a "safe entry" service from the likes of the one you are advertising with the link you posted.

The agent you mention is discussed in this thread with a positive review.

 

45 days out of Thailand seems reasonable amount of time to be able to enter visa exempt.

The border crossings experience has nothing to do with entry via air. 

Did you consider the alternative of tourist visa entry.

You weren't warned or chastised for too much time in Thailand, you simply didn't follow that border's rules for a border bounce.

 

It's very unlikely you would be denied entry without receiving a warning first.  You should be fine to enter yourself.  And if you are worried, just make sure you have the 3 proofs so they don't have any easy reason to deny entry.

 

1. Proof of funds (20,000 baht or equivalent in another major currency) IN CASH ONLY
2. Proof of onward travel (a ticket out of Thailand within the number of days you'll be stamped in for (60 days if entering visa exempt)
3. Proof of lodging (at least a few days of hotel bookings to start your trip) (Advise not using a lease if you have one, as that does not make you look like a tourist)

Thinking you should put the experience at the border aside.

The two night stay out of Thailand for a border bounce is relatively new "game" 

Even Nong Khai crossing joined in.

For border bounces now it's suggested to either use border run agent or actually spend few days out of Thailand.

You mention 45 days out of Thailand prior to next visit.

Shouldn't have an issue 

As advised above have an onward flight, some funds and few nights accommodation.

BTW what's the cost of tourist e-Visa for Thailand in your country?

Too late of an tourist visa I will come next week  but I will have 500 e in cash and onward ticket to Vietnam before the 60 days end

Is not a issue unless you have issues in general. In that case a visa won't help you either. What is the question in the first place as you were told exactly what the requirement was; staying 2 nights in Laos + come back again to enter. It's interesting it is always people that fail to even read basic instructions having issues.

 

People who have these issues also almost always have a dodgy life, money issues and more. That is why you get singled out in the first place, Thais have a 6th sense radar for this with 99% accuracy. Same for the fact you say to have gotten a denied stamp from that, highly unusual.

Previously Nong Khai had zero issues for same day border bounce.

People were blindsided, simple as that.

Back to you trip to Thailand next week relax you will be fine.

Have the onward flight as a print out + funds etc

If you do a border bounce this trip then use a border run agent.

Were you formally denied entry to Thailand, with a denial of entry stamp put in your passport? Or did they just TELL you to go back to Laos and to stay there for 2 nights?

 

That could make a big difference. If the IO at Suvarnabhumi Airport chooses to scrutinize your history and sees a denial of entry stamp, that certainly wouldn't work in your favor. So in that case, booking a safe entry service for peace of mind wouldn't be a bad idea.

As a very, very rough rule of thumb, how many days out of the last year have you spent in Thailand? Is it over 180 days? Are you entering on Visa Exempt or Tourist Visa? If so, there is no guarantee you won't be pulled aside. It all depends on a split second decision by the Immigration Officer.

Guessing cost approx 4500b 

There are two different meet and greet. 

Some have agent airside. 

Some have io meet and greet by io prior to immigration lines

Travelers checks are OK, too.  I was using those, back in my tourist-entry days.  Should only be 10K for Visa-Exempt - but better to have 20K, if worried.

In addition to the wild-variance with IOs, how they treat you depends on your longer-term history in Thailand - not just how long since you last left (45 days, in your case).  This is reflected in the cost of the "safe entry," at least with some providers.  

The service I saw advertising here was less - though also varied by history.  I would guess you would be at the lower-end of the scale, given you are not doing a quick "bounce" back:

Many embassy websites say 10K for visa on arrival, 20k for visa exempt.  20k for family visa on arrival, 40k for family visa exempt.

 

I was personally asked to show 20k at Suvarnabhumi.

I am in a similar situation. Will fly on Sunday and already spent 66 days in my country in Europe, but spent all 2024 on ED visa in Thailand so I am a bit scare.

Also contacted the same company you post it. I will contact them this week again so they will give me the price.
