2017 when they wanted their belt and road network done
its called money as a weapon

ten million tourists and sign on the dotted line then the numbers dwindle
BUT
TOURISM  is fluctual for those long term we notice these things
tourism nowadays is such a fickle internet selfie viral driven thing tick the box take the photo

you cannot have the same numbers year on year
its not the med like spain who gets all the germans brits etc

sun and beer

if we look at the demographics which thailand doesnt print but we rely on our observations of how cafes hotels etc change

if you call folk coming to a single destination for a single day or two tourism its to fractured

the islands will always be popular its the beach

where do people want to go on a one or two week vacation the beach

and as far as slagging off the chinese who are to use a term in their infancy of international travel
lok back at the late 60s and 70s at the brits an the germans etc in spain all working class

we acted in exactly the same way pot calling kettle black uneducated uncultured

this guy is a trumpie no doubt emboldened to slag off china in such a public manner but in reality he is slagging off the heirarchy of Thailand dangerous move buddy

This guy isn't the brightest bulb. China is not dictating anything to Thailand. It is until the Thailand to do anything. China is simply   discouragingits citizens from visiting places where gambling is allowed. It's probably not thrilled about it citizens getting into debt.

And to top it off this crank  goes off into a rant about. Chinese tourists that has exactly what to do with the topic?

Lets say China doesn't dictate which I believe is true, it just guides countries along the path of right thinking.

It's definitely a nanny state. If the nanny was cold, forbidding, and joyless.

The Chinese take over slowly and by providing incentives let's say to a country. Before long the country is in so much debt to China they cant do anything without Chinese approval.

Really? They can't do anything? They seem to have suffered a lot of reverses lately

I hope the Chinese embassy doesn't demand this guy get kicked out of Thailand.

Well Thailand is really pushing the land bridge idea
be it a road or a canal right through the peninsula to take shipping out of the malacca straights

so Thailand is bait shifting waving the casino idea about
i think it wants the shipping rather than the casino they may be trying to play poker with China
Its already held talks with Anwar so that they agree about shipping etc
i guess the islands in the bay of thailand most of which are national parks or at least a few are
if they succeed with the proposal there will be a lot of shipping coming more into the bay that present

You obviously do not understand how China operates.

I think it's becoming clear that however you think China operates you're unwilling to share the basis of your claim because you know it doesn't comport with reality. You can prove me wrong by actually being specific for a change.
