The difference being is that once admitted to the UK it can be impossible to make them leave/deport them, even when they turn out to be criminals. Thailand's free to deport whomever it chooses.

Meanwhile, the Thai Chamber of Commerce (TCC) stepped up to insist that the nation has long been a proponent of international human rights standards.

They can't be serious

I don't understand why EU always have to put their nose in other countries business.

The word is international human rights standards.  the UN Human Rights Council, which thailand has a seat is in the EU   and have a right to put their nose in other countries business.

Of course their standards follow international guidelines. Except in this case hmm.... I hope the EU and the USA put sanctions against Thailand simply for their lies about all of this situation.

Five uyghurs are serving 6-year prison terms at Klong Prem Prison, a maximum-security prison, but Human Rights Watch senior Thai researcher Sunai Phasuk warns the forced deportation to China could happen sooner than later as their prison terms could be reduced due to good conduct and on special royal occasions. the Thai government has also refused to allow related UN agencies to meet with the five in order to start the asylum process, thus making it difficult, if not impossible for Western embassies to help these people  this is the Thai Chamber of Commerce (TCC) stepped up to insist that the nation has long been a proponent of international human rights standards.

And of course, as always, there is reliable information that that is the case.

Thailand tried to negociate with third-party countries regarding relocation of the Uyghurs, as an alternative to sending them back to China. There hasn't been a country that would have taken the Uyghurs - whatever that tells us.

That is completely false information, there were a number of countries that stepped up and very publicly stated that they would be willing to take these refugees.
