And finally I am not, never have been and going by your performances would never wish to be counted as a "friend".

Sorry.

My mistake.

Were you being deliberately insensitive by not waiting to find out the results of a severe earthquake

No.

You must be a very sick person to reply in such a way to an even sicker post.

I suggest that if you have no sympathy for the people impacted by the quake that you shut up.

OK.

If I did not, then I would.

I just did.

You just did nothing of the sort.

Please explain what your statement from the post you are referring to  "If I did not, then I would." actually means in the English language.

Oh...sure....

This was a direct response and reply to the statement that you made.

Please check your statement, and then read my reply in context.

This will help you much....I think...maybe....

Oh master of languages can you please explain in simple terms what your phrase "If I did not, then I would." actually means.

Please do so without referring to your previous pious and nonsensical responses.

No, I was not referring to my statement.

I was referring to your statement.

a. Read your statement.

b. Read my response.

c. If this is not enough for you...then I am unable to help you....it seems....

Note: Maybe you will need to read your statement and my reply....SEVERAL TIMES....IDK....

What a d!ckhead response to simple question!

I take it that you have no idea what you originally meant and are just spouting forth your usual cr@p.

PS;  Are there any members on here who can translate what "If I did not, then I would." actually mean please since the author of the original statement is unable to do so in plain English language.

Do you think you can stop it now! So far 40 people or even more might have died, and you post NICE ONE!

It is trying to defend it's totally indefensible insensitive posts wrt this progressively more tragic situation!

Not thousands, but hundreds, I lived and worked in Indonesia for eight years and was in Bengkulu, Sumatra for the Sept 2007 8.4 magnitude earthquake. The aftershocks including a couple of 7 and plenty of 6s continued for over six months. That's one day I won't forget, and whenever I see news reports of similar earthquakes I feel for those affected and fully understand what they're feeling, and certainly "Nice one!" doesn't spring to mind.

Thousands.

I said thousands, and I mean thousands.

You should check how many per year in parts of Japan, and in Taiwan....

If you really want to be impressed.

It takes a special kind of sick mother to relish an event of this kind where likely many tens of thousands have lost there lives across the region.

Imagine Storm Chasers following a tornado. They're excited, adrenaline pumping, enjoying the risk and adventure, maybe cheering the tornado on. At the same time they are aware that it could cause damage and death, and they feel sympathy for that. Some people are capable of feeling more than one emotion at the same time. Other people have tunnel-vision emotions, and disapprove of anyone different than them.

Some can root for both the lion and the zebra at the same time. Some can appreciate the awesome power of an earthquake, and the excitement of their own personal experience, while also feeling sympathy for those impacted.

I know that I am almost always correct, and do not post what is incorrect.

The only problem is:  How to teach members the many things that they do not know.  And, how to stop members from posting inaccurate conclusions, beliefs, and assumptions on TV. This is a HUGE problem for me.  The power of analysis among members should be improved.  In addition, there is too much intellectual rigidness among members. Even when faced with a much more logical and reasonable point of view, most members will hold onto false and inaccurate ideas.  This is a sign of rigidity and lack of brain power, IMHO.  But, nothing can be done about this, I guess.

Trying to understand the thought processes going on here. What exactly "impresses" you about earthquakes where thousands of lives are lost?

From the perspective of the science of plate tectonics....many, many thousands of quakes along the ring of fire, and in East Asia...is a VERY IMPRESSIVE number.

You should enroll in a course involving the Earth's crust and plate tectonics at MIT.

Maybe then, you would find this number impressive, too.

I'd prefer they did not post threads like this... really shows how much of a piece of <deleted> the OP is.

Not agreeing with the thought process is one thing, but being incapable of at least understanding it only demonstrates that your mind is closed or it is shallow.

Here's an analogy for your clarification: Do you find Mount Everest impressive? I think most people do, even though over 300 have died on the mountain and around 200 bodies are still up there. I feel for the fallen and their families, but am still very impressed by that mountain with no disrespect intended.
