https://kyivindependent.com/the-rise-and-fall-of-ukraines-kursk-gambit/  As Ukraine's seven-month-long incursion into Russia's Kursk Oblast came to what appears to be its end, Ukrainian soldiers and military experts are questioning the operation's goal and the long-term effect it will have on the war.   But the soldiers on the ground say some doubted the incursion even before it began. Oleksii said one of the battalions in his unit saw more than half of its soldiers refuse the order, arguing why they should invade Russia when the defense elsewhere was at threat. They had come from more than a year of defending Chasiv Yar in the eastern Donetsk Oblast, where Moscow had recently reoccupied the village of Klishchiivka, which the unit had fought to liberate for months.  "Around early February, it stopped being viable for Ukraine to stay there," Oryx expert Janovsky said, calling the extended stay in Kursk Oblast "a short-sighted political decision."  "a short-sighted political decision." Seems Zelensky isn't as clever as he thinks he is. 2 1 1

Only a brain-amputated mentally retarded blind man who has never looked at the resources of Russia, history or its arms arsenal could possibly have believed that Ukraine's invasion of Russia was a good idea.  The gambit has failed. Ukraine is being defeated on all fronts. Zelensky imploring defence, no more serious Ukrainian advances. 2 1 2

He's not the only one that has realized that Ukraine has lost and it's currently in the death rattling stage. Some of us predicted this situation right at the start. 2 1 1

It's quite sad really- a loser desperately clutching at crumbs offered by the losers in the EU. Â When it's all over, those Euro losers are going to have to try and justify why they kept sending all the money to Ukraine when it was obviously a lost cause. 1 3

I am truly terrified for the future of the EU. Not only because they will be hitching their wagon to the lost cause that is Zelensky with billions of Euro, but also because they have delusions of grandeur perhaps even greater than the British, and if they start any kind of war with Russia they could be annihilated. As indeed we all could be then.  And judging by not just the words of Macron, but what he is practically proposing, Starmer too btw, and potentially Merz soon too, they really are blind to the consequences their ego trips could unleash.  Never mind that economically German car makers have missed the e-mobility conversion and may go the way of Nissan or Saab. Energy prices will remain exorbitantly high. One really feels bad for Europe. 1 2

I think Zelensky is stalling as he knows Putin's goal is not peace, but complete control of all of Ukraine and more but he needs time to transition away from now fascist pro Putin USA towards Europe. Ukraine is not going to surrender. 1 1 1 1

There is not a single German, French or Spanish government that has acted truly in the best interest of their own country. It's bizarre. 2 1

Yes, it is a Bizarro world when millions vote for people that would make bad toilet attendants in the real world. Â Eventually reality catches up, which is unfortunate for the good people that get ruined along with the sheeple. 2 1
