My Missus comes from there - a few km from Pichit town.

I haven't been there for quite a while because, to be honest, it's about as interesting as watching paint dry.

As I recall, there is a crocodile park where you can actually feed the crocs.  There is also a large, concrete croc that you can go inside.

Also, the usual temples but that's about it.

I went to Phitsanulok and its big but uninteresting. Not many options between Lampang and Nakhon Sawan to stop.

Just like every other province, town, tourist don't visit.   Smalls-ville, and Muang only has 120k people, maybe, and just over half million in the whole province.

Like most of TH, need to self entertain, unless you actually think most Wats or parks here are actual tourist attractions.

Don't think I ever even bothered to overnight there, and that's rare, as few provinces I haven't slept in, at least 1 night.

Because OP is an adolescent.

Is it that old?

It posts and acts like it is in Primary school.

It appears to have been around for a number of years under different guises.

Well it's a long train ride and sometimes these small towns are fun. If we only live once why not????

I'd rather visit 200 towns than 10.

Says stalker boy who lives in mum's basement.

Which just goes to prove my point that you behave like a primary school kid and not as a responsible adult with your pointless posts.

Something original from you would be truly original.

I live on the borders of Phichit and Phitsanulok, lovely quiet backwater, nice people, easy going lifestyle, if you want Pattaya style entertainment good luck finding it.

Great place to retire, if you're happy with what you've got, good road network to Bangkok, easy 4 hour drive, Mae Sot, 3 hours, Chiang Mai, about 5 hours.

There is a ex-pat community that meets up on a regular basis, a few play golf.

The best thing to come out of Pichit is the main road back to Bangkok. Seriously I was there 20 years ago and for a tourist it was devoid of interest, In saying that my Thai wife thoroughly enjoyed it.

I agree about it acting like a schoolboy but it is never humerous.

I disagree, any form of toilet humour is usually hilarious to me.Probably because i too am a schoolboy at heart.

Not if you hop off and stroll around every Muang city.  Have a great munch, overnight and then hit the next on the train line.

Bangkok

Ayutthaya

Lopburi

Nakhon Sawan

Phichit

Phitsanulok

Uttaradit

Nakhon Lampang

Lamphun

Chiang Mai

Most famous singer from Phichit, Yodrak, died in 2008, went to his funeral, he did not look well. Recorded more songs than any other Thai singer. Album is 5+1, Nopporn Silver Gold the company thought 6 was unlucky for some reason I forgot

How many farangs have stayed overnight at Phrom Phiram?

I posted, just stay in the Muang / capital city of province.  Anything else, too small and boring, along with, might drop you off in the middle of nowhere, with no transport around.

I'd search for the most convenient guesthouse, closest to the best restaurant and or pub.  Pluses, if it has a view, lake or stream.

Nothing else needed, especially if you take some companionship of your choosing with you.
