Russia’s economy is doomed
Well please do tell us all about your space adventures and the troublsome graphite dust.. 😋 Couldn't they just sharpen the pencil inside a paper bag ? another option would be a crayon 🖍️ Anyway my point was that the Russians solved the problem with a quick readily available cheap solution while the Americans set about reinventing the wheel (pen) -

Dhahran and then Tabuk. Flying out of Riyadh called in at a Bae compound for pre flight drinks. -

Laos entry stamp scam.
This was a classic Vietnamese scam back in the day. Years ago, you needed to specify your entry and exit point before entering Vietnam. With a visa but no entry stamp, you were then fined on exit. They targetted those with different exit and entry points as the foreigner was 100 kms from where the "mistake" occurred when they were fined. -

Trump Tariff Strategy
Again no problem. From Marx Brothers Duck Soup (1933): Mrs. Teasdale: Your Excellency! I thought you'd left. Chicolini: [Impersonating Rufus T. Firefly] Oh, no, I no leave. Mrs. Teasdale: But I saw you with my own eyes! Chicolini: Well, who you gonna believe? Me or your own eyes? -

Some Food for Thought > How Hospitals Became Killing Fields During COVID
Those "too many s*** posters" don't seem to be bored to respond to the threads posted in this Covid/Vaccine sub-forum of the Off the Beaten Track forum. There are many sub-forums on AseanNow which I never open as I am not interested in the subjects covered there. So I suggest you do same for this sub-forum. And of course I won't stop adding content to this Covid/Vaccine sub-forum just because some members are bored with the subject. Have a nice 'jab adverse effect'-free day. -

Those of you who live on 40k a month
Why would I want to eat brekkie out, or sit in a bar. Never had a brekkie out that I couldn't prepare better myself. Without the need to shower and prep to go out in public. Have a better view from my dining table than most restaurants and bars, unless they are surfside or high on a hill with a view. Same goes for a bar, and last place you'd find me, sipping a few, whether in the USA or TH. Saying that, I did enjoy my brew pub time, quite often when living in Memphis, TN, USA area. But it was a really nice pub, in house brewery with excellent view and nice setting. Once a week was enough though. Added plus, I rode my bicycle to it, and return trip was all downhill But to eat 2 or 3 brekkies out or sit in a bar 2 or 3 times a week, NO THANKS, boring. Only not having a decent kitchen would necessitate dining out.
