Sorry, my understanding of the word "superfood" is a super HEALTHY food.

But this is mostly people posting their favorite foods.

Emotional health is physical health. The free radicals I get from a rasher of bacon are cancelled out by the sheer orgasmic joy of munching each and every juicy flavourful hunk.

Bacon is therefore a Superfood.

Superfoods

Crab Meat Stuffed Mushrooms

Grilled Tomahawk, Rare, Bordelaise Sauce

Asparagus with Hollandaise

Potatoes

Warm Pumpernickel Rolls with Butter

Gelato

I'm thinking he meant superfoods, meaning high in nutrients. Those are supertastyfoods.

Yes, meaning tasty and not necessarily healthy choices high in nutrients.

8 REASONS WHY PLANT FOODS ARE NOT SUPERFOODS

  1. All plants contain many defense chemicals [1]
  2. Plants contain antinutrients [2]
  3. The bioavailability of plant nutrients is very low (it's never mentioned) [3]
  4. Most of today's plant foods never existed in the natural world [4]
  5. Plants have lost much of their nutrient content in the past 50 years [5]
  6. Plants are carbohydrates (the only non-essential macronutrient) [6]
  7. Fruits and veggies are responsible for bloating, gas, and weight gain [7] [8]
  8. Fiber is not essential and could actually be harmful [9]

Therefore, I concur with other posters in that animal-based foods offer the most nutrient dense and bioavailable superfoods for humans. Red meat scaremongering and saturated fat phobia are so wrong, and those who spout such rubbish should be….

Potatoes are the ultimate superfood.

Baked, boiled, braised, fried, mashed, pureed, sauteed, twice baked, scalloped, dehydrated and shot out of PVC cannon using hairspray

Agree with Eggs & Meat  as the superfoods.  Can live on just those if having to.   Everything your body needs can come from animals; eggs, meat, dairy.

On the subject of comes from animals, here's a twist to that ...

... either from the cow manure or bird droppings, this gem shows up.  More 'free food', as wife tells me she didn't plant this, they just come up by themselves in the garden.

This one, shy of 5 kgs :cheesy:

I see stuff like that, I can only imagine the psychic disturbances that would cause such a disgusting spectacle. Id rather watch Two Girls one Cup than even allow that in my house.

There's a multi level (4 or 5 levels) Pizza restaurant in Ho Chi MInh city, every floor (circular tables, about 100 chairs per level), is devoted to a fruit:  apple, watermelon, mango or to a vegetable. No meat.

Very popular, need a booking to get in.
