Tourest Visa After Non-Imm?

I have been extending the same marriage visa for 10 years, when it expires this year I want to goto Singapore & get a Tourest Visa (2-3month one) & then go back to US (US citizen) and get a new marriage visa there.  Will they give me the tourest visa is singapore or are those not possible if you live here?

Why do you want a tourist visa when currently visa exempt is 60 days.

What's the thinking behind obtaining a new Non O marriage? 

Why not just obtain extension+ reentry permit.

I can not extend the marriage visa this time but I want to take a break in singapre for a week and then come back here for about 3 months and then goto the US for a while, while i'm there i'll get another marrigae visa there before i come back again..

 

so the tourest visa isn't necessary and just get a visa on arrival?

It's not visa on arrival (that's a different thing) 

It's a visa exempt entry and currently provides a 60 day stamp.

Also a visa outside of Thailand is obtained via e-Visa and that can take few days. 

 

Is it the financial requirements that causing the issue for extension from Non O .

Just seems your plan rather convoluted.

 

Be aware that if you do exit and reenter you (currently) will receive a 60 day stamp.

You can also extend that at immigration by 60 days "to visit wife" 1900b

In the last month before expiry of your current Permission to stay, you can apply for a 1-year extension of that current Permission to Stay you have based on your original Non Imm O Visa for reason of marriage, at your local Immigration Office.  When doing so keep in mind that it can take almost 1 month before the 1-year extension will be approved (it needs divisional HQ approval), and during that period you should stay in Thailand.  

And when you get the final 1-year extension approval stamp in your Passport at your local Imm Office, you can at that moment buy a Re-Entry Permit, which will keep that Permission to stay valid when leaving Thailand.  So then there is no need to apply for a new Non Imm O Visa for reason of marriage in your home-country, as that Re-Entry Permit will then allow you to enter Thailand again before its expiry date (1 year after your current Permission to stay expiry date).

Note that if you on return from USA only intend to stay less than 5 months before departing again, that there is also the option of entering Visa Exempt (providing you a 60 days Permission to stay), then applying for a 30-day extension of that Permission at your local Imm Office, and then applying for an additional 60-day extension for reason of marriage.  So that's approx 5 months with minimal bureaucratic hassle.

That's correct, but I cannot think of any reason for him not being able to apply for the 1-year marriage Visa extension now.  If it's the 400K that has not been for the required time on his Thai bank-account, he could 'buy some time' by applying for the 60-day extension for reason of marriage (if he didn't use that option yet).

right, documented requirements can not met this time, can not xtend 1 year, also i want to visit sing and usa at those times and come back after a few months there.. so i guess i'll just apply online and hav it anyways

I went to the e-visa website and it says you can not apply if you are already in Thailand.  So I would have to do it while i'm on my trip abroad and I'm not sure it would be approved in a few days.. If I just fly to Singapore or Bali or wherever and come back (again-US passport with a non-o that just expired in it) in a few days; will they give me 60 days with a possible 30 day extension or is it 30 days with a possible 30 day extension?

Visa exempt is currently 60 days.

30 day extension available at immigration 1900b.

Also 60 day extension to visit wife is another option. Both mentioned earlier.

 

For visa exempt the airline at departure most likely require onward flight within 60 days.

 

I find your thread tad confusing. 

Flip from Singapore to Bali. On the surface seems you just exit/reenter for added time in Thailand.

There were better options.

Unless you really want to go to either of the places you mention then just do a border run.

Depends little on where you are located.

I thought i have to fly in to get 60.. and to get a 60 day, instead of 30 day extension, what do you have to show them?  just the marriage certificate or do you have to have the money in the bank, lease and all the other things I woud usually submit?

Yes a land border bounce would give you a 60 day stamp.

Where are you located.

That 60 can be extended by 30 days. 

 

How many days remain on current permission of stay?

OK great.. I have 2 months left, I live in bangkok.. just 1 more ?.. can I drive myself (i have a car) or do i need to do the border run thru a visa border run service?

Suggest you use a agent minivan company. 

They can avoid need for overnight stay. 

From Bangkok or Pattaya you could bounce to Cambodia.

One option would be mini break in Pattaya and bounce from there.

 

You have 2 months validity remaining.

You could obtain 60 day extension to visit wife. Process outlined in links I posted earlier.

Wife needs to attend also.

Things have changed a little and recommend you use agent run.
