camper star Posted April 10 Posted April 10 Need some suggestions should I go north, south, east or west. Being from the farmlands of Illinois I like space to have nature that I can attend to also with raising animals for food and resale. I'd like about one or two rai land size also. Lady does NOT have the rural life experience, what lies ahead of us. Thanks 1 1
fredwiggy Posted April 10 Posted April 10 If I didn't dislike the cold, I would love to live in farmland Illinois. Some of the best deer hunting on earth. 2
pgrahmm Posted April 10 Posted April 10 You could be in Chiang Mai & go in just about any direction and find what you are thinking about within an hour.... 1

Thanks Been in the DMK and Prathum Thani area for over 30 years. You are going to have to go a lot further away to find that. You are going to be shocked at the price of land as well. 2 Rai will set you back close to a million USD in the DMK area these days. I would look in the Nakorn Naiyoke area, really nice but 1.5-2 hours away from central BKK.
Purdey Posted April 11 Posted April 11 Nonthaburi the next province north of Bangkok used to be recognized as the best place to live in Thailand for to its countryside, department stores and hospitals. That was some years ago but it is still better than Bangkok itself.

This is her country and I seriously doubt she will make such a sacrifice for very long. A city girl doesn't survive very long in the country unless her heart is there.
