The wind has sent it to the Pai valley and neighboring valley in Pang Mapha.

Yesterday the air in Pang Mapha was "cleaner", but not yet healthy.

Amy, a good friend, told me " This year is better than last year, concerning the smoke". I hope  the weather forcast (AQI) is okay. Today and to tomorrow we should get some (strong) rain. That will clean the air, as normal. The only way to get rid of it :hit-the-fan:

Yesterday, Chinese officialdom suggested anyone weighing less than 50Kg should avoid going outside for fear of being blown away by 90mph winds.  (Not 90km/hr)  Being well over 50kg, I went shopping.  The streets were pretty much devoid of pedestrians, and I had a hard time getting in my 10,000 steps in North China.  I could barely walk against the wind.

Enjoy it while it lasts.

Crystal clear down here, PKK, though no mystery why.  Had about 2 weeks of rain already, some of it, major downpours.  All water tanks (12) topped up & beyond.   No drought worries this year.

Since always concerned about our carbon footprint ... :cheesy:

Wife took the 'no open fires' warning a bit serious and beyond.   Oh no, not a block or stone circle, or even barrel, to burn our trash.  It deserves it own oven / kiln.  Even without the finishing touches, door & chimney, it burns damn near smoke free.

For others, if caring, Google 'smoke free barrel', may be an easier option.  At very least, burn your plastic bags ... Save a Turtle :coffee1:

From surfside about an hour ago ...

VS a bad day, and thankfully we don't get too many of those, compared to most point North of us.

A beautiful morning, no AC, just rain cool wind sweeping through the house.  One can almost believe the wet monsoon is here.

Do you live there? I took a picture of Pai AQI a few days ago to send it to my brother. Maybe you got to experience this also, probably active forest fires were close by in order to get to these levels.

We had about 6 hours of heavy rain in the village, south of Chiang Rai.

Our big  mango tree is relishing the drink, fruiting abundantly.

I'm at my wife's townhouse for 3 days during Songkran in Mae Jo. No windows except on the front and back and everyone here closes up everything tight at night so even though it's nice outside it's warm and muggy in the house. All of her neighbors do this too. They have no appreciation for enjoying nice weather and prefer to be locked inside in the AC and with fans. I don't get it.
