So, I have to give the IO, and perhaps another person my phone? How about the email; would they also accept screenshots of it? Also, is the wifi at Arrival good enough to quickly search your email, and still be online when face-to-face with the IO?

The reports so far suggest that if you have done it they can already see it on their system, based on your passport.  So the need to present anything is not indicated, although it would be a good idea to have it just in case.

Obviously, you need to be connected to WiFi or mobile data, to complete the TDAC so if you download it to your phone, rather than just read it when it arrives it'll still be readable when you're not connected. (Same as any documents you have stored on your phone, like passport copies, travel insurance etc.)

But as is being said, once you've completed the TDAC it'll be on the system anyway. As an aside, I never quite understood why the SETV that one paid for wasn't automatically on the system, but one was specifically told to print that.

Actually, there is an official answer to the question on the FAQ page - looks like this

This is being increasingly reported. A few people on here already have mentioned that the IO's aren't interested in seeing anything from you as it's already on their system.

Here's another report to that effect from the Hua Hin forum.

Agree, that was my experience when I arrived

I arrived today and there was lots of people in the immigration queue that were filling out the TDAC . The bloke in front of me had not done one and the immigration officer sent him away.

The people I saw in front of me were all showing their TDAC proof. I handed over my folded TDAC print outwith the bar code showing along with my boarding card and passport.

No problems at al.

Thanks to those who've reported back 👍 So for now, it seems like just "get the TDAC and forget it".

I won't be back for a few moths by which time it'll be glaringly obvious whether a printout is even worth the sheet of paper.

Of course by that time, some other "genius" will have had a "good idea"...ho hum.

According to this guy it is possible not to enter a return flight. Time-stamp 4:28

On the other hand, entering "NO" in the field for the outbound flight may raise a red flag.

You can do it on arrival.  Did you not read anything about this before today?

Yes, yesterday (4th May and today 5th May) I negotiated the land border crossing between O'Smach (Cambodia) and Chong Chom (Surin Province, Thailand).

There were many people being helped by Thai Immigration to complete the TDAC form ON THE DAY OF ARRIVAL in Thailand. These were people travelling further into Thailand and beyond the regular border pass limits.

My experiences at this particular land border crossing are now listed as per previous post from me. What happens at other land, sea and air border crossings I have no idea and will not comment. I do not have a smartphone.

I presented my passport to Cambodian Immigration in O'Smach which was stamped and returned to me. There was no departure card to remove as I had previously registered on Cambodian Immigration's equivalent to Thailand's TDAC at Siem Reap Airport. (This I completed ON DAY OF ARRIVAL in Cambodia).

I then proceeded to the Thai Immigration Office and presented my passport with a paper copy of my TDAC reference, printed from a downloaded pdf file on my computer.

My passport and entry details were processed and both passport and TDAC form were returned to me. They checked my 4 fingerprints of my right hand and got the green light. I asked if they needed to keep my TDAC form and the IO said no, everything now complete for you to travel in Thailand. I was given 60 days entry even though I was just one night in Khon Kaen for a hospital appointment. My TDAC form has now been destroyed by me.

On my return from Khon Kaen, Thai Immigration just stamped my passport as departing Thailand.

Cambodian Immigration required me to complete a paper arrival & departure card, their TDAC system is restricted to the 3 main International airports in Phnom Penh, Siem Reap and Sihanoukville.

The arrival portion was kept and the departure portion clipped to my passport. The same four fingerprints were scanned and again I got a green light.

There was much new development in O'Smach with new hotels and casinos, along with shopping arcades and many other business outlets. Even Thai and Cambodian Immigration have new offices. I am sure this once quiet and easy land border crossing will become as busy as Poipet - I hope not! Everything is gambling related.

Even Thai PTT have built a brand new gasoline station on the Cambodian side of the border complete with Amazon Coffee Shop and what appears to be a forthcoming 7-11.

As the TDAC is not for Thai nationals, I see no usefulness in a video commenting on it in Thai language.
