I don't find that image very informative. In reality the satellites in any Earth centric orbit will appear to precede across the sky with each succeeding orbit (for an observer on Earth). To an outside observer those satellites will appear to form a shell around a rotating Earth.

Looking at the ocean, in you see further from the 50th floor of a hotel than you can from standing on the sidewalk in front of it, the Earth is not flat.

I've never seen the curvature of the Earth at 35000 or 39000 feet which is pretty well the standard for commercial aircraft these days.

Apparently Concorde passengers could at plus 50000 feet.

Sadly, I think that is what he and a few other posters believe.

My wife has a Thai friend whose husband, a Scot, believed all this nonsense. One time we, wife and I, had a COVID jab and paid them a visit. He waved his phone camera over the two of us but couldn't find the embedded code. This was after the YouTube jokers who originally put this up admitted it was a joke posting. He confidently announced that we had been injected with a placebo! He would never get the jab as the internet said it would affect his heart.

He also drank his own urine, something else he saw some nutter on YouTube that convinced him of the health benefits.

He had a couple of blackouts and I convinced to see a proper doctor. He was immediately put into palliative care in hospital with 20% heart function and riddled with cancer. He died within 3 days, sadly.

Might have a had quite a few more years of life if had sought proper medical care instead of believing the nonsense on the internet.

My current position is that the Earth is a still, level plane with the Moon and Sun being close and moving around it. I am also aware of the stigma and hostility this brings… in fact that is the most interesting aspect to me.

If you go look at the YTube video at the 4:02 point where the image you presented occurs... the altimeter in the top right corner indicates 32,800 ft.

And according to google:

At 35-40k ft you may see a slight curve, but it is very faint. The horizon often appears flat due to the small field of view.
