Wow! I agree with everything you said above.
Communism is not " about a working man getting a fair share of the profits from his labour." In communism, people contribute to society the best they can, and all the assets of society are shared equally, regardless of race or gender (or trans gender).
I didn't know about the other historical "facts" about Marx. He means nothing to me. I only associate him and the term "Marxist" with communism. Thanks for the history lesson.

So, are you indeed, as you've said, a "Marxist"? And if so, what does that mean?

I do consider myself "woke," and believe I have been for at least 40 years."

I deny the negative meaning because it is not the way I define "woke," and it is not the way I am. The negative connotation of "woke" is being used by people who are not in favor of the characteristics that "woke" means, which can be summed up in one word: empathy. 
I don't really care if anyone criticizes me. I listen, and if I agree with their criticism, I will change my actions. If I disagree with their criticism, I note it but don't act on it.

I take it that you don't think that Dimitrov's views of fascism are suspect because of the company he kept? 

Yet any man who reveals that he voted for Trump is likely to be shunned by Democrat voters, his views on almost any aspect of life being held in contempt.

 

Too bad your Trump hatred syndrome prevents you from giving Trump the benefit of the doubt on what his radicalism is trying to achieve in four short years.
