Provided you can withdraw money instantly it ought not be a problem, apart from your loss of interest.  (might be an idea to post this in the right place for better response).

hi anyone knowd if some officers in.bsngkok immigration do.not allow fixed bank deposit of 800000 as eligible for extension?

There are two ways to keep a Retirement Extension. Bht 800k in your own bank for a year (down to 400k for part of the year)

Or 65k per calendar month from abroad into your bank showing as a Foreign Transfer.

OR if you are lucky, an IO who will allow the Combination Method, or roughly 400k in bank and 40k per month, totalling over 800k.

That's it.

Not being rude, however your post is extremely unclear.

If this is your first extension from a non O based on retirement then you would need to show balance of 800k for minimum of two months prior to application.

If this is ongoing extension you would need to show financial compliance for the past 12 months.

A fixed deposit account is fine.

You need to clarify your question.

If you have not met financial requirements then you could consider an agent.

Where are you located?

What is your current status in Thailand? Tourist or extension from a Non O retirement
