This would never happen with Trump in charge.

As you do not know for definite what cause the blackouts only a MAGAmaniac could make and believe that ridiculous statement!

It's a good thing that major blackouts have never happened with grids based on fossil fuels. Because otherwise the assumption that it was the fault of renewables would look kind of suspect.

The last western Europe blackout of this scale happened in WW2. EIGHTY years ago. Your point?

Don't econut msm consumers stand out like a sore thumb😅 most twigged when Gores polar bears didnt go extinct, the high priests of wokeness purchased TWO sea level mansions and were able to insure them, and saw Megs and Harry travelling by private jet routinely. The whole thing was a scam, but welcome to keep believing it.

Obviously it is the Socialists mis-managing the infrastructure, what else can it be? With the Partido Popular the electricity was glowing like a christmas tree, no issues.

These socialists need to be thrown on the streets where they belong.

Too busy prosecuting a man for kissing a woman, imagine.

What I find hilarious is that this has NOT been mentioned in MSM.  Such a failure cannot be admitted.  Sad when the truth, whatever subject,  is suppressed just to appease the “woke” media and government.

I guess it depends on how well read a person is:

Per the Associated Press tonight:

"the authorities in Spain have yet to provide further explanations for what caused one of the most serious blackouts to ever take place in Europe.

...

Spain’s meteorological agency, AEMET, said that it had not detected any “unusual meteorological or atmospheric phenomena” on Monday, and no sudden temperature fluctuations were recorded at their weather stations.

Portugal’s National Cybersecurity Center on Monday dismissed speculation about foul play, saying there was no sign that the outage resulted from a cyber attack."

He may well mean that. non-toxic Iron oxide batteries that can't burn because they're not flammable are now a thing.

https://evolutionoftheprogress.com/iron-air-batteries/

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Form_Energy

I was actually referring to the non eco friendly mineral extraction, battery assembly and transportation of so called eco systems like batteries, solar cells and windmills etc.

The ones you refer to appear to have each individual battery which is about the size of a washing machine.  The battery modules are grouped together in modular megawatt-scale power blocks where tens to hundreds of these power blocks will be connected to the electricity grid.

In its least dense configuration, a one megawatt system requires about an acre of land!

All good for the environment.!!!!

PS; I am NOT an eco warrior as you may gather.

But we are treated as fossils as we do not bow down to the great god "Climate Change"!

We are in Spain at the moment and there was no power to cook food yesterday evening. A local branch of a major supermarket here has its own generator. They also have a microwave that customers can use to heat up food brought in the store. Went there to use it and found it wasn’t backed up by the generator. 😭To our amazement they had every checkout open and a minimum of 15 people in every line, most with fully laden trolleys. Usually they have a third of the check outs open with no more than 3 people in a line. Must be the same people that brought all the toilet rolls and pasta when Covid hit.

There's nothing like a little inconvenience to set paranoid preppers kicking off due to FOMO....

Toilet Rolls in the UK (I could never get my head around that one)...   Water here in Thailand, in the 2011 floods...

Napoleon Bonaparte: “The strong man is the one who is able to intercept at will the communication between the senses and the mind.”

Me: "Fear (FOMO) is the most contagious thing in the world, and when the media feeds it, people will do the dumbest things."

This could actually be worse than just unreliable "green" energy

might be due to a shift of the earths magnetic poles letting in too much cosmic radiation  which overloaded the power grid

“unusual meteorological or atmospheric phenomena”  ?

Would point out all those stories were published after the "not reported in MSM" you quoted.
