It probably has something to do with the fact that their PM doesn't do his damnedest to start a world wide recession.

Don't fret. The UK will suffer more damage than the USA due to their respective current leaderships.

I quoted the poll report. I remember that you claimed to be familiar with statistics, so you certainly know about data weighting.

Your preferred pollsters "claimed" they weighted the results.

Another pollster "claimed" their method was invalid.

Dueling claims....so who ya gonna believe?

The overwhelming majority of polls that put Trump's approval rating in the high 40's, or a couple outliers that fit your narrative?

The so-called expert is not an expert or is dishonest.

This guy?  John McLaughlin

John McLaughlin is a veteran pollster and strategic consultant with over 35 years of experience, known for his work with various political figures and corporations. He is the CEO and partner of McLaughlin & Associates, where he specializes in public opinion research and strategic consulting.

All pollsters do that! It's a standard procedure. It's a ridiculous accusation. Ipsos is one of the world leaders in surveys.

If he's an expert, then he's willingly dishonest.

If you want to educate yourself, here's a simple explanation.

Cold hard facts from Trump's mouth!! Thank you buddy, I really appreciate a belly laugh every now and then, and I'd even post a cackling emoji, but you know who has rather ruined that for us.

John McLaughlin is Donald Trump's close friend and was his campaign pollster. Can't even give you a "nice try" because it wasn't.

It was in fact utterly lame.

Then it's not surprising he makes dishonest claims!

Trump won the popular vote so his adviser was correct and you lefties are always wrong. Some idiot on here said Kamala wins by 8% :cheesy:

Well they were wrong last year. Only 2 out of 15 polls are actually accurate.

More lame deflection from you.

In America, it is customary to blame one's geopolitical defeats on the president and then eliminate the culprit. We saw this during Kennedy's time. Putin supporters feel sad for Trump - he is trying his best in the most difficult conditions - and in the end, he will end very badly.

Trying his best to do what? Anyone that thinks his motivation is to actually improve the lives of American people is delusional.

Interesting use of the word "fraud" in quotation marks.  I read the article twice, but that word only appeared once...........in the clickbait headline.  Trump himself did not say "fraud."

As to the numbers, did you bother to read what the great pollster wrote?

....in the latest New York Times poll, only 37 percent of respondents are Trump 2024 voters. But Mr. Trump received 50 percent of the vote.

...

Same for the ABC/Washington Post/Ipsos poll. They polled 2,464 adults — 1,992 registered voters, but only 842 Trump voters.

That’s only 34 percent made up of Trump’s 2024 voters. Yet he got nearly 50 percent of the popular vote.

https://www.realclearpolitics.com/articles/2025/04/29/fake_polls_wont_tell_you_about_trumps_100-day_success_152722.html

That's how fake polls work, by skewing the pool of respondents to guarantee the preferred outcome.

Not actually. Polls are intended to cover a cross section of the whole population groups, so you consign a portion of the total polled to each demographic group to get a more accurate result of the whole population, not weighted to any group.
