Did my yearly extension. Could have copied last year's text as experience was virtually identical .

Had an on-line appointment, after document check at counter L1-27 (where they let you sign most of the paperwork) my number was called exactly on-time at L1-35.

Only took 10 minutes here. Was then told to wait and less than 15 min later got my passport + bankbook back. Good for another year.

Handed in:

-Application form (TM.7) with pic. + 3 additional forms that you will get at the main reception

-Passport + copy relevant pages

-Bankbook + copy relevant pages

-Bank letter

-3 month account statement (IO said next time bring a one year statement)

-Copy last 90 day-report

-Hand-drawn map of apartment location

-1,900 Baht

Thanks for report.

Bit fortunate they allowed 3 month statement as sufficient, however they obviously checked bank book.

Did you update bank book and make small deposit?

Did you obtain the bank letter on appointment day or prior?

No TM30 provided?

No Lease?

Did mine at the exact same desk on Tuesday. 1pm appointment meant no doc check, straight to the IO.  I had more documents than you, TM30, lease, 90 day receipt, etc. They didn't give anything back but if they were really needed I've no clue.  After I was dismissed by the IIO I waited over an hour. But the girl in the back was overloaded with people returning from earlier mooring sessions, at least I think that was the issue.

With appointment slot 1pm there is often a wait. Not so with eg morning time slots. They are seen bang on time.

For the 1pm appointment the io does a bit of a clean up from the morning and then the gears start rolling. Can involve shortish wait

IO said no problem about missing year statement, just bring it next year (she checked the balance going back one year from the bank book).

I got the bank letter the day prior. I updated at Big C Chaeng Wattana this morning (pink line station right in front) , banks were closed but you can get into the building from 08.30 (possibly earlier) when the Big C opens. SCB has a bank book update machine outside the bank office. I made a 100 Baht withdrawal before updating.

I have never provided a TM.30 or a lease in five extensions and people should not volunteer these, it might lead to an ever growing list of requirements. If they need something they will ask for it.

I got my Non-O Retirement visa on March 25th, expiring June 22nd. Since this will be my first extension before the June 22nd deadline do I also need the same documents as people that are on their 2nd or subsequent extensions? What date can I apply for the extension the earliest? Someone said a month before expiration, is that 30 days or the same day (May 22nd) the prior month? Also will I get the first extension stamped into my passport on the same day that I apply for it? How about the re-entry if I leave the country, would you advise to get it at immigration in Chaeng Wattana or at the airport before the flight out? Thanks for your advise in advance.

I am using a fixed deposit account with 800,000+ balance year round. I have never needed to provide an account statement.

Are you using monthly deposit method?

Only difference is for ongoing extensions you show 12 month of bank statements.

For first one bank book should be sufficient or you could obtain 3 month statement.

Up to 30 days prior to expiry. 45 at some offices

Which immigration office.

Most processed on the spot

Either. I prefer the airport since I deal with CW.

Smaller office then easy to obtain there

OP, didn't mention FD account.

For savings a/c he would need 12 month bank statement for both money in bank method and for income method

I think I talked to you about how long you had to wait. I was the 2:00pm appointment and set next to you for a moment after you had seen the IO and were waiting. Small world.

How about if you stay at hotels (and haven't booked for a full year)? Would that be accepted?

Answered in post edit above.

Provide a TM30.

Explain that you are still looking to lease somewhere.

You could provide hand drawn map of TM30 hotel.

Only need to be to nearest main intersection.

Not the whole route.

I've been asked for lease every year.
