Not the case, unfortunately. There is currently a banner on ch29 stating in Thai that live coverage of EPL games on that particular channel is not possible owing to rights issues, from what I've been able to make out with the assistance of Google Translate.

No problem watching a live game in English.

No, all live matches are in English. 

Currently there are three live PL matches on, I just checked and all of them are in English.

What is the Max 1 channel? If you subscribe you use the Monomax app and everything is on there - there are no channels, just select your game on the app.

Thanks I didn't realize that, but isn't it so that only EPL games are available in repeats with English language?

So far only 2 games have full time and that was 1 yesterday and 1 today

They were on True Ch 602.

 

If you watch highlights from now on Max 1 then they should def be in English, as Max 1 is basically True 602.

Well that's not true. I watched Brighton vs Fulham yesterday at 21:00 on Thai Channel 29. (Mono) 

Maybe the message refers to all the other matches. (18:30, 2 more at 21:00 & the later game)

there is so much answers questions  just tell me what you have found.

1. as a platinum member for over 15 years basically to watch the epl football, did true officially say no more, i didn't get anything from them, online, bill  or email. So will they give me a discount from the date when they supposedly said no epl.  If you go on their site they are still are advertising they still are showing epl. that is a breach of contract  (No way i could sue them)  Will go monday and see what they have to say, i know its a waste of time but i have to do. 

2. i went to channel 29 mono29 watched brighton, advert came up  you can  watch for 2999 baht a year  all epl games. has anybody done this and is it in english, do i have to have another box for the tv or what. I have a 3bb box (only for thaia tv) and true boxes  tv etc for internet etc   

3. which is the best channel to watch all the games, including European champions league etc , and world cup for next year.

 

Sorry i am not a techie to old for that .....just want a simple answer

Many of us have subscribed to Mono Max.

 

They stream all EPL games live. There is no channel, like a TV broadcast.

 

You just pick your game. Like picking a You Tube video.

 

They have English commentary option only on live games.   When watching a game not live commentary is only in Thai.  This is a major problem as many games times clash or are on late at night.

 

I have to turn the sound down as need some crowd noise. Getting used to it but it is a freaking pain.

 

They should double the subscription and pay for rights to English commentary.   At the least they should tell us why this situation exists. Not throw it at us and leave us perplexed and pissed off.

 

Ha ha. But it not the end of the world. 

 

You really need a smart TV, i guess most have now. I would have thought. Or an Android Box.

By the way, on the box True supplied to me, Mono Max works perfectly. (You mentioned you have a True box).

 

On the box I had/have for other things Mono does not work well. I cannot scroll to some games. So yes use the same box. You should have Google on it to find the app Mono Max.

I'm actually okay with the occasional match free on Thai channel 29. (Mono) 

I never bother to stay up to watch the late Sunday game. I just watch many highlights on Sunday & Monday on YouTube including EFL games. If I know the scores already  no problem. 

I can even watch other games from different European leagues. 

For many seasons when watching a match I would often flick around anyway or check other scores on my phone up and down the country. Most matches  have become a bit repetitive. Maybe for me 10 minute highlights over full 90 minutes.

I just have MonoMax on my phone.

 

Then I can cast the game to a Smart TV using SmartView, or to a normal TV/computer monitor with a USB-C to HDMI cable.

 

Works well so far, very little buffering, very high resolution display and male English commentary (I only watch games live).

Yea I know what you mean, I would class myself as a big football person, but was watching the early Saturday game Villa v Newcastle and was bored and felt like I had better things to be doing, same with Chelsea Palace last night.

 

I rarely watch a full game on repeat so not too bothered about Thai language only, that's not to say I agree with it. Highlights means 'suffering' for less time, plus there is always Max1 for English language highlights, although that isn't on demand. dasfootball.com is also good for highlights with no spoiler.

It might be of interest to some of you.  I watch every EPL game. Sad I know !

 

But I enjoy having a few pennies on the result (placed in my home country). So watch em all.

So in short their content isn't as good as True's, which most expected. It also niggles me that you can't channel hop, have to come out and back in to another game.

They can't be saying no .. you can't have commentary at all. 

 

They must be on the menu to buy.

 

Mono Max should pay more.  And charge us more than 2 or 3k.

Ok fair point, but this crowd don't have the capacity to channel hop and as said no English comms for replays and repeats, therefore deeming them worthless to most expats, I would say.

Agree with that, no crowd noise is just weird, you have to have some noise for sure, so yea volume low is the way to go. I feel your pain as if I was one that watched many replays 'd be fuming too, but at least you have on demand and you never know they might sort it, although that seems like a long shot at the mo. The old Channel 602 now Max 1 don't show full repeats, so that isn't an option.

If anyone has Wizz there's a channel called Star Hub Premier. Shows all Premier games being shown at the same time, so easy to channel hop if that's your thing.
