I am in Thailand, so I didn't vote.

A bit of trivia, there hasn't been a one term government in Australia since 1931.  It appears when you vote a party in, you unofficially vote them in for 8 years, not 4 years.

It didn't matter if Albo or Dutton won tonight.  Australia will still continue down the same path towards becoming a banana republic.  A trillion dollars in debt for a population of only 28 million people.

Australia will continue to max out its credit card, and when Australia loses its AAA credit rating, we are looking at 15 baht to $1AUD.

Labor will celebrate being able to have their snouts in the trough for another 4 years, but there's nothing for your kids and grand kids and great grand kids to celebrate.

I am also in Thailand, and I took the trouble and expense to vote; a postal vote which arrived via DHL about 2 weeks ago, found another Australian registered voter to witness my vote, and posted it off to the Oz Embassy in Bangkok (37 Baht postage) to be sent back to Australia via diplomatic bag.

I, unlike some Australians, recognize my luck in being born in a free country and having the right to vote in a free open democratic election.  I also acknowledge, on ANZAC Day, those who have fought and died in wars so that I can enjoy the freedoms I enjoy.

To the original poster - I also voted Greens, Labor second preference, and the Neo-Nazi Fascists last positions.

Thankyou !

Im glad you too support Transexual reading library books to children and massive immigration

Albanese was the first to allow transexual Library book reading in his own electorate of Marrickville,a fantastic man who will bring back the vote for the Voice

I'm thinking with the doubling of the population my investment unit in Sydney should double the price soon ,we Sir are very good thinkers

Thankyou for your service

Very true lol

I notice in my Government job I am dealing with a lot of indian background HR management, who unfortunately employ their own people first

And of course , if you are the Contracts manager in a government dept eg deciding on who gets the Security contract etc etc .....say no more ,it will go to a indian company lol

I agree with many of the above sentiments, but how Albo and the ALP are running the show is still a better option than that horrible Dutton. Obviously the bulk of Australians felt the same way. Warts and all it was better to stay with the devil we know than that horrible Dutton. He was the worse leader the Libs ever had in their entire history, and probably the worst political leader in Australia's history. He was so bad he almost decimated the Liberal Party.

Why are you living in Thailand then?  Serious question.

What has happened in Australia to make you want to live in another country?

They only employ their own people if they come from the "right part of the country"

When the only applicants are Indian, because it's a job Aussies refuse to do, then of course an Indian will get the job. An Aussie can get Centerlink, an Indian can't.
