You mean during the Vietnam War and the fall of Laos & Cambodia?  Sure!

Just GIs coming straight from combat into Bangkok for 2-weeks of R&R "to blow off steam" before going straight back into combat.

Nobody ever got into fights back then, never!

No. They were all polite and well behaved. Never ever saw aggression of any kind.

Hopefully you understand how silly your comment is.

Nope, can you help me understand why you aren't a racist, because from what you said it certainly falls within the definition of racism.

I am truly sad to read about things like this happening almost on a daily basis. Apparently Thailand attracts all kinds of trash. I apologize for all my fellow citizens of the world with such small brains and no way to control themselves.

Thank you for apologising for all us mere mortals who don't become involved in these incidents and I trust you include yourself in the small brain and lack of control brigade?

Sorry, but I don´t follow you. Have you ever thought about why they scrutinize foreigners soo much when it comes to permission to stay, and many other administrative things in Thailand? Do you think the behavior of these people going to ease such methods and make it much better for us.

After that, I didn´t in any kind of way include you as a single person. If you feel the need to react, then it must be that you feel you belong to a certain group and now feel discriminated by facts. You chose where you belong, right?

How can a person be racist against a country and a continent? You're funny......

ASTONISHING that the guy who through the punch is not having any further action taken against him. This incapacalates the problems Thailand is currently having.

You do not need to press charges etc to realise that this is not the correct form of behaviour. The guy throwing the punch could have caused some real serious damage to that guy. If you are serious about ridding the country of this type of horrific behaviour (making headlines worldwide) then you need to start addressing these issues properly.

It would be interesting to know if the guy is here on one of these long term visas or holiday ?

I repeat again, this guy would not have done this in Dubai, Singapore or China. No matter how drunk they are, they all seem to be sobered up enough to know the rules in those countries.
