Many women stay with men who have a lot of money and power for exactly that reason. It lumps them together, and they get a rush out of feeling important, at least to some who hero worship. She has enough of her own money so stays because of the position. Yes, there are many who would leave a cheater misogynist to separate themselves from it, having high self esteem. This is the highest position on earth, and she loves the prestige that comes with it. That she's staying away from much of it shows her feelings towards him.
