If you meet a girl in a bar, restaurant, club, pool room, etc., and take her home (or anywhere) and she asks for money for sex, or is offered money for sex, that is not illegal. 

If, for example, a girlfriend would only take it up the you-know-where for a consideration that is not illegal.

So paid sex with a freelancer from a club is fine but not sex with a freelancer from the street? I did try reading the act you mentioned, but understand the wording doesn't appear to be my strong point.

I think the idea would be that if you meet in the club, then come to an arrangement, it is different to someone approaching another person on the street and asking for/offering services.  It's more "organic".  (Although we know why the girl is in the club, as well as why the man goes there.)

Paying for sex with a freelancer from the street is not illegal.  The girl who is on the street soliciting for sex is committing an offence.  But once she's left the street with the customer, what they do is their business.

Only the hookers who stand under coconut trees.  Palm trees are ok.
