BYOB

Featured Replies

During Buddha days, when the sale of booze is not allowed, can you take your previously bought wine to a restaurant? I'm thinking this Sunday in Pattaya (at least we don't have elections this Saturday.

What advantage would this be to the restaurant? To take this risk? Selling you a burger and fries?

There are some Thai establishments that allow you to bring your own alcohol. Generally that's going to be a bottle of Regency these days. Cost is about 100 baht of the few places that I know of.

I am thinking about restaurants that cater to farangs who, when they go out for a meal they don't order a bottle of Regency more like a glass or bottle of wine.. Something like Cheap Charlie's, which is open every day and have regular customers . Not some Thai establishment whose main purpose is to sell alcohol and only sells food because they have to.
