Most of his web site is marked as "out of stock" unfortunately.

Yes, but he still sharpens blades, which is the main thing for me at this time. When he gets more soaps in I'll buy the one I like.

Not a hobby. I simply apply British colonial troop doctrine. Sunday and Wednesday whether I need it or not.   Bic 3 blade plastic razor from 7-Eleven and a bar of White round soap also from

  • What do you need other than a bar of soap and a razor?  That's all I need.  If you need something different you're just making a big deal out of nothing.

I like Imperial Leather. It's one of the few soaps that seems to have retained its original scent. And it doesn't turn to mush quickly like many other cheaper soaps.

For a while now I've been using aloe vera gel to shave as it doesn't leave me so red-faced.

I managed to pick up a bottle of the U.K. /Germany Old Spice after shave lotion recently. Again it seems to be nearer to the original scent, if a tad weaker.

I like the Old Spice, but I realised that it's quite different from the Old Spice I was used to buy in Italy. (I just bought a bottle, probably was watered, don't if it's the standard flavour).

Never heard about Imperial Leather, can you share a picture of it?

I use Barbasol shaving cream, which I find to be very good. I apply to my face, then put a little water on my hands & re lather it.

Mostly use the Orange Bic @ 145 for 4 cartridges, but recently they seem to shave too close & make my face sore.

I see the prices of some of the razors mentioned on here - which rather shocks me.

How does the design of the head influence the shave, when the most important part, is blade quality & angle of cut?

Old Spice....I'd almost forgotten about it. Lovely smell.

Then there's Brut or Hai Karate..🤣

Those milks....😋😁😅

Every razor is different. The design of the head of the razor is also very important because it determines the so called aggressiveness of the razor, therefore how deep the cut is. The distance between the head and the safety bar also determines the blade gap, the bigger the gap, the more attention the razor requires.

This is a stock photo from Google. I won't show you mine as it's down to a sliver at the moment. I need a new bar.

If you do try it out, get the original in the red wrapper. I've seen them in 7/11.

Lovely soap!

Was there ever an aftershave produced?

Yes, but I think it's only available in Australia now.

English Leather is still being made and some people say it reminds them of Imperial Leather, although I have yet to try it.

Each cartridge last me many weeks, I don't shave that often, once, sometimes twice a week.

Buying a few years worth in a single hit (price wise) does the job for me. I keep a bunch of them in Thailand and Cambodia where I maintain residences.

I buy the same.  My sister visits every 2 years from the states and has a COSTCO card.  I have her bring me 2 16 packs of these blades each time she comes.   I shave daily in the shower using normal bar soap. No worries about dripping and the shower makes my medium beard so soft, the blades last about 6 weeks.  I got sick of buying Thai shaving lather after several instances where the propellent ran out before the contents, thus having to throw nearly half a can away.
