The beach looks so nice in pics, but when you go to swim there dark murky water and coarse sand.

Still looking for a good beach in Thailand.

Where you looking ?   Gulf is always iffy, and shallow.  Unless going a bit further to less developed area of an island.

Andaman is the opposite, and most good, high season or on the cusp of.   Again, less developed areas, less pollution / fecal count.

Do need to be a decent swimmer, and know how to get out of trouble, as nicest beaches now, usually don't have lifeguards.  The mainland coastline of the Andaman is 740 kms long.  Surely people can find good stretches of beach.   Not counting the island.

We had booked to go to Pattaya for New Year in 2020 under the WTT scheme. A coupe of days before they put Pattaya into lockdown, my wife phoned up the WTT people if we could get a refund but nobody had a clue so we decided to go anyway. On NY eve they increased the restrictions and as you say very little open and takeaway only. We dined in the room with the liquid refreshment I had brought along.

In the evening we went out for a walk along the beach, couldn't get a drink anywhere, residents only. We went back to our hotel and went up to the rooftop  bar. I was a bit surprised how few were there, then she brought the drinks list, limited choice with beer at 400 baht and whisky 500 baht. Just went back to the room,  sat on the balcony with our own refreshment watching the fireworks at Laem Chabang.

Following day we drove along the coast a bit outside the lockdown area and had very pleasant lunch by the sea.

This was Pattaya beach about 10pm on New Year's Eve.

You are not the only one, Thai airways left me and my son standing on a return flight back from Hong Kong to Bangkok, of course the Thai was allowed to go back.
And to this day I haven't got my money back.

How do you mean racist.
(x) Sarcasm off.

Yes, keep insisting that those masks offer protection, but it has been proven that those virus particles are not being, I repeat NOT being stopped by those simple masks worn by the Thais.
Maybe soot particles, but that's about it.

You qualify for the Impossible Question. Nobody has answered it yet, have a shot (pun intended):

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

What is your take on top virologist Dr. Robert Redfield, who served as the director of the CDC during the Covid crisis, who claims that reports of so-called "Long Covid" are actually a cover-up for mRNA vaccine injury?

Since leaving his federal government position at the end of President Donald Trump’s first term in January 2021, Redfield has focused on treating patients in his medical practice.

He explains in the interview that his surgery is flooded with patients who have been led to believe they have “Lond Covid.”

However, he notes that the vast majority of those patients are actually suffering from an injury caused by the Covid mRNA “vaccine” they received.

https://slaynews.com/news/ex-cdc-director-long-covid-mrna-vaccine-injury/

The funny thing about the post you’re responding to (which was a response to my post) is that I made no epidemiological claims but strictly pointed out some basic math (deaths vs cases) and the lack of vaccination status disclosure.

The mud-bloods sure do seem to be getting more and more angry.

If gambling were legal here, I’d bet the farm on the vaccination status of all those who are telling us how bad their recent infections have been.

I will be submitting the Impossible Question to each poster who claims that Covid jab criticism stems from non-virologists on YouTube.

The second they actually do what they have always claimed to do, i.e. listen to top virologist Dr. Redfield and his data in the name of science, everything they have advocated for years instantly comes crashing down.

None of the 5 people I have asked have answered because it is The Question They Can't Answer… and it will be asked at every fitting occasion.

Definitely, and it's often verifiable.

Despite their increased transmissibility, these strains seemingly cause mild symptoms and are treatable like other respiratory illnesses.

There you have it, straight from the eminent Dr Yong. If you die from - or rather with - this virus, you would have been dead soon enough anyway, with or without it. For most people it's just like any other cold.

You're not a horse you'll. That was a US CDC tweet on the subject.

There can be no alternative medications because the emergency use authorisation depended upon there being no other treatment...it's the science!

Even today?  Even right now?  Are you seriously telling me that with everything we know now about covid that they would continue to push this nonsense???

The virus didn't kill you.  The vaccine didn't kill you.  But do you know what might?  Their withholding of vital medicine.

I can't have Ivermectin because you're still saving face?

I thought that road up from Surat Thani maybe some nice beaches there. But so far neither Phuket, nor Hua Hin nor Pattaya are really up to par.

Unfortunately yes they will carry on with the lies untill forced to admit it in a court of law..there needs to be a Nuremberg 2.0

Six dead... means nothing when you have 50 or so dying on the roads everyday and other stuff like the flu killing more. Just a bunch of scare-mongering nonsense to screw with the weak minded and create fear. Governments want you living in fear as it makes you more controllable... but the truth is, when your time is up, doesn't matter how fast you run... it's time.

Yes, it was horrible. Those who claim otherwise are severely removed from reality.

Or tremendously selfish.  They got quieter beaches and shorter queues and the locals went broke in droves.  So it was all good as far as they're concerned.

It's all part of the Dark Brandon cloud of infamy.

Trump only lets out what serves him. Still waiting on dozens of truths to be revealed, people going to jail...

Well, that's one way to keep government spending in check 🚀

It still doesn't seem like the least bit of a cause for alarm, each subsequent variant has proven itself to be less and less dangerous, and we are certainly not worried in the slightest.

However, as we've seen before people are likely to panic and masking is likely to continue for the foreseeable decade or longer.
