It's a real shame that celebrities/actors.actresses, entertainers etc, get into posting, or worse like Deniro telling everyone there thoughts on political figures, it just show how classless they really are.

I remember an interview I saw with Elvis Presley on TV

The specific question that led to Elvis Presley's quote during the June 9, 1972, Madison Square Garden press conference, it was posed by a female reporter and generally described as asking for his opinion on war protesters,  in the context of the Vietnam War. The question prompted his response: "Honey, I'd just as soon keep my own personal views about that to myself. I'm just an entertainer, and I'd rather not say."  PURE CLASS!!

Another hero who did not die in vain, Muhammed Ali, a true national hero

Ps Elvis liked them young

Even bigger glory for Ali and the time being he stood up for himself, and everyone else.

Not only De Niro, Bruce Springsteen had his kick off lately, and many more already expressed themselves.

What you predict, is the opposite the new government preaches, free speech.

Dark times it is, when you guy want De Niro to stop preaching his views, and no shame about it either.

Ali was right, Ali won

People should use their energy to master their craft and stick to what they know or else risk tarnishing their legacy

This is exactly the future of a dictatorship have to offer.

Enemies of the state will be silented, fired, boycotted, ghosted,  jailed or executed. And if that is not enough, harm their families to.

but a call to arms for the cultural world to stand up against what he described as an administration indifferent—or even hostile—to the value of art.

Actually I don't read what Hollywood actors are stuttering into the world. Normally.

However, I have to assist de Niro. Freedom of culture is a too high value to forget and leave it to Trump

The alternative is not much more desirable. We had it all, and lost it all in 40 years.

He is a courageous man who speaks truth to power, and neither Trump, nor his devotees can stand that truth. I admire him for that. Someone needs to call the goon out on his reckless policies and callous hatred and constant verbal venom. Trump is a black hearted chump.

He is a liar, said he would leave the USA if Trump was elected, then chickened out

RDN is an effing w@nqer. And should stick to acting bad roles, and fade away.

Are Robert De Niro 9and anybody else for that matter) NOT allowed to express an opinion which is contrary to that of Trump.

He is far more successful in his chosen career than any of the Trump or MAGA supporters have ever been in their lives.

Trump is highly respected and successful.  Much more than Deniro.

I think he pissed because Trump refused his condo application at Trump Towers.

Deniro is a waste of breath as much as his fellow Democrat Congressman.

Yes, even Michael Jordon agrees.

His mate, Bruce Springboard interrupted his performance in Canada recently to have a go at the Donald. Why can't these idiots stick to what they do best and realise that they're alienating their fans amongst the huge majority of Americans who voted for Pres Trump.

Did you guys stop ranting when Biden won?

I loved that he said " Honey"  Can you image if he said that these days.  It would be all over CNN and he would be cancelled.

They are being made overseas because they are cheaper. That will no longer be the case. More films will be made in the US, benefitting the US film industry.

Hardly.

Two academy awards and a fortune of $500 million, VS. five bankruptcies, five cowardly deferments, and 17 failed businesses, and billions in stolen money. Who is the failure as a decent human being?

A totally ridiculous post. Just like with his highly ignorant tariffs, taxing films made overseas will not help the US industry. Trump does not get it. Why are films being made overseas? Why are products being made overseas? Because the US costs and inflation are out of control. He has no understanding of globalization. He is just not smart enough and he is being very poorly advised.

DeNiro continues to do very well, and gets as many projects as he can handle.

Excellent post Mr Mike I do disagree about the bad advisors part tho I don’t think he takes advice.hes not a listener or a deep thinker his mental illness prevents him from using advice.I will never forget when he said that he knew more about nato in 2 minutes than the people who created it……you and I both know the authors ,the folks fired in the hedious furnace that was ww2….
