I wouldn't call a 7% loss "free fall", just more catastrophizing from the media. In any case, it is a small price to pay for a safer country with fewer criminals and deadbeats running around. 

 

Especially if they are carrying laptops!

Yep. The squirming is off the charts. I do hope despite the false bravado the hivemind took the L and accept that calling those on the side of fact a "cult" and removing them from discussion was a huge blunder. As it stands its the perfect way to assess the  credibility of news sources and forum posters. Where were they on the subject? NYPost, Daily Mail, Alex Jones, Russell Brand etc are proven credible.
