Wait until next week.

He will have new fresh ideas and nobody is there to prevent him to announce.

Maybe 100%, maybe 50 or none.

All possible for granddad.

I fully expect Trump to blow up the US economy after which the Democrats will have their turn.  Neither side works in the interest of US citizens.  Just their donors.

I like the point where the EU says that negotiations should be based on respect and not on bullying. Yet this is exactly the approach that the EU took when they recently took advantage of the UK in Labours Starmer scheme to take the UK back into the EU against the Democratic wish of the British people.

"Their powerful Trade Barriers, VAT Taxes, ridiculous Corporate Penalties, Non-Monetary Trade Barriers, Monetary Manipulations, unfair and unjustified lawsuits against American Companies, and more ... ”

Who pulled the plug on TTIP? One Donald J. Trump.

VAT is a tax levied on (almost) all goods and services sold in Europe: It is also paid by European producers/ consumers. It is NOT an import tax

Financial Trade barriers: "The European Commission says it charges an average tariff of just 1% on US products entering the EU market, "considering the actual trade in goods". It adds that the US administration collected approximately €7 billion of tariffs on EU products in 2023 compared to the EU's €3 billion on US goods." (Source: Euronews)

Non-monetary trade unions: Like safety regulations? These apply equally to European producers. They are NOT  import taxes

Monetary manipulations: I guess Trump thought that he might as well throw that ridiculous accusation in for good measure

Unfair and unjustified lawsuits against American Companies: You break the law, you pay the price. If there is no case to answer it will be thrown out of court

But hey, let's not let the facts get in the way of a good rant.

If Trump's goal is to alienate the EU and bring Brussels and Beijing closer together then I have to commend him: That strategy seems to be working extremely well.

It should also be noted that there is no buy European act!

How much tariffs did the EU impose on UK in order to force it to negotiate? :coffee1:

n 2024, approximately 22,010 passenger cars were exported to Brazil. This represents an increase from 18,935 cars exported to Brazil in 2023.

Which makes your point very mute

Your statement demonstrates that you really do not understand the automobile industry  and the concept of  components, parts and supply. In 2024, Brazil imported US $8.29 Billion of Cars, In 2024, the main origins of Brazil's Cars imports were: China ($3.14B), Argentina ($2.39B), Mexico ($758M), Germany ($561M), and United States ($285M). The fastest growing  origin country for Brazil's auto imports  is China - up  US $2.05 Billion (2023 - 2024)     https://oec.world/en/profile/bilateral-product/cars/reporter/bra

China's investments in Brazil will allow it to gain a larger share of the automobile market. The factories will use  Chinese sourced parts as well as locally sourced parts. The USA manufacturing plants will  be shut out of a growing market.  Brazil's 2023 Vehicle sales were 2.18 million, an 11.3% increase from 2022.  2024 had a  13.9% year-on-year increase in vehicle sales. Brazil’s EV market is growing  and driven by foreign automakers like BYD and Chery establishing production facilities in the country. As a result, Brazil is emerging as a key regional hub for EV manufacturing in South America.  Many parts and components are foreign sourced. They won't be US sourced parts and components.

The Trump tariff plans are doing long term damage to the US economy . The US will not be a player in foreign markets because of US trade policy. Trump and MAGA antagonize, belittle and insult potential trading partners who then turn to China to replace the  US sourced products.

That was the headline here on UK media this morning. Seems like the Brussels Bureaucrats don’t like it up them.

(The E.U amongst other measures took advantage of the UK government stance on fishing. Now what you have to ask yourself is why is it so important to the EU and especially France that they are so keen to plunder the UK fishing grounds.

And please tell me what did the EU give up in these so called negotiations.
