ETFs make it possible for boomers to invest, although owning the real thing will always be better

EMP's also make it possible to lose the lot.

Criminals love bitcoin. How long do you think it will be before nations take action to protect their legal framework?

Dumb people who trust their government will lose everything they have

Right now you come out as an prime example of what we should fear. People who stop believing in society and government as the safe institutions

The bitcoin etfs are already here for the non tech person to be invested. When the world will start using bitcoin will happen slowly, then suddenly when nobody wants their fiat anymore

ETF's provide income. What income does a bitcoin ETF pay to the holder?

I think throughout many threads on here, there is way too much cynicysm about what govts are doing.

Or maybe some countries go completely off the rails, but the US has such a diverse economy. It's not a banana republic and therefore I don't think Trump is trying to run off with everyone's loot to the Cayman Islands.

I trust that the US will let its people decide for themselves what the better money is. Everything is going smoothly

It depends on the government

Criminals love fiat more

It depends on the US, who china will follow eternally. I dont see chinas government just allowing their people free choice in the matter

China is a 50:50 mix of capitalism and a command economy.

The model seems to be working a lot better than the debt mess the US has achieved, by kicking the can down the road.

Yeah Hitler, Lenin, Mao, Stalin, Xi all understood that the Socialist future of sharing and caring requires millions of murders.

Im not willing to die for your little fantasy of a comic book utopia

You are a proof of Socialism just being born! Without Socialism, your or mine chances of being born is quite slim.

Thats one of the dumbest things I have seen on the internet.

Cash has serial numbers. Traceable. According to you, bitcoin is not.

Throw your toys out of the pram somewhere else.

Well in Theory yes and no, every transaction is tracable back to the username.

One major problem with btc, nobody know who made it, and why

One question, how can you trust something someone made without knowing who and why

Because of 2008, so that the people have control and not central bankers

No one pays any attention to your country in the USA. You are meaningless to us, sorry. Saying "this is what they do in Norway" usually will leave people scratching their head saying wheres that, unless they are from Minnesota or Wisconsin. You guys have lots of oil that keeps your welfare state alive...well now you may have some trouble because you have to defend yourselves from the Russians and we are driving the price of oil down. Lets see your budget next year. Thank god you got the Finns to protect you.

Sweaters! Norwegian sweaters. And skis. Thats where I heard of Norway.

Well I sold out in fall 2006, and watched everything went to the skies, of course regretting selling out of the stock marked.

October - November 2008, I did not regret anymore.

It teached me a valuable lesson of knowing when enough is enough, you do not need to push it further.

Bitcoin is just replacing gold. It is austrian economics, libertarian, populist movement that allows the world freedom over their finances rather than trusting someone else. People buying it now are still early

Americans don't pay much attention to Australia either. Some can't even find it on a map.

We have had 3 instances of what is termed mass shootings ( more than 3 victims ) in just under 30 years, since the government banned the ownership of semi-automatic weapons. The carnage goes on in America.

We pay $7.50 for our medications, a reform brought in way back in 1948. Americans bankrupt themselves trying to stay alive.

It's a better society than your dog-eat-dog mess.

You can not replace nothing with something.
