Gazans are starving, but should suffer instead of eating food from either of the Satans (Israel and US) according to Osama Hasdan. Speaking from his safe space in Lebanon, he declared;

“We expect our great people to thwart the method of receiving aid today, just as they thwarted it yesterday. We trust that our people will endure hunger and not extend their hands to the occupier asking for aid!”

Hamas has been blocking aid that does not come via the UN or UNRWA, because they have no way to steal it or divert it for their own uses. By the way, here is a photo of the man who wants his people to heroically starve;

Anyone know where to get cans of hummus (hummus tahina) in Pattaya; I was buying it in Friendship up until about a year ago, but they no longer stock it?

Gazans are not starving. They have more than enough energy to  rampage and loot the   food shipments. In all of the videos coming from Gaza, they have  enough energy to moan and groan, and yet no one is particularly thin or emaciated. Compare the images to the people of the Darfur who have been experiencing hardship. Those are starving people.

Hamas does not want the aid to come in because it is contrary to the narrative of suffering.

This is one of the most incendiary and inflammatory posts I've read on AseanNow or its predecessor Thai Visa.

I did an AI search on the quote, "Don't Eat Jew Food!"
The results of that search shows that the quotes originate from two sources: AseanNow and Hotair.
So creating a highly inflammatory, antisemitic post and then attributing it to someone else without links to "authoritative news sources" such as Reuter, WaPo, or even CNN is now fair game on AN?  That's very disturbing.

Also, the OP makes these remarks and then links it to CBS News that doesn't contain any of those words, sentences, or phrases.

It's disturbing to see that AseanNow is becoming the primary source for inflammatory anti-Arab troll posts.  Congratulation!

Here's an accurate quote from the CBS article:

"Hamas tells Palestinians not to use new aid system

Hamas warned Palestinians on Monday not to cooperate with the new aid system, saying it is part of Israel's plans to transfer much of Gaza's population to other countries or to force people out of the north into the southern part of Gaza.

Israel says it plans to facilitate what it describes as the voluntary migration of much of Gaza's population of 2 million, a plan rejected by Palestinians and much of the international community.

Israel's military campaign has destroyed vast areas of Gaza and internally displaced some 90% of its population, many people multiple times"

There's accurate context.

I was paraphrasing. Relax.

The point is that Hamas is simultaneously crying about starving kids AND refusing to take aid that is not siphoned through a network that they can pilfer from.  Especially coming from a chunky neckbeard like Hasdan.

Isn't that a bit more important than quibbling about word choice?

Never seen it in cans but Villa used to have it in the refrigerated section (in plastic containers).

Yes, tried it once but it was completely bland (at least to my palate).

I prefer freshly made from restaurants. Or not hard to make yourself. There are many restaurants in Pattaya that have it.

Way off topic but any recommendations?

It simply highlights how unhinged from acceptable discourse you are.

I think "unhinged" are the Hamas leaders who tell their people to starve rather than eating food provided by Israel and the US.  It shows how little they actually care about the people of Gaza.  Or is that OK with you?

Well said ! Wasn’t it the narrative before that

the people are starving?Why doesn’t the UN shut up! UN & Hamas should just throw in the towel .

U.N. calls new aid operation a "distraction"

“On Tuesday, a spokesperson for the United Nations humanitarian office called the work of GHF a "distraction from what is actually needed," which the spokesperson said was the reopening of crossings into Gaza and the end of Israeli restrictions on the kind of aid entering the territory”.

CBS is as accurate and unbiased as any of Bob Smith's board names.

It's easy for him to preach about not eating. Look at the gut on him!

Come to think of it, do you actually see any starving people in the pictures and videos of Gaza? They all seem pretty well fed to me. Compare them to the actual starving people we saw in Darfur, and Somalia.  Even with Hamas stealing (and reselling) so much of the relief sent there.

It's generally eaten with flatbread with lime, olives, and grilled meat.

But with that said, I'd rather eat Indian food.  👈  Not bland!  :thumbsup:

I agree, but we're getting way off topic.

PS. But I freakin' LOVE olives!
