In a high-profile case, the son of a retired high-ranking police officer, known as Kongla, surrendered at Phra Khanong Police Station on Wednesday, May 28. Kongla faces serious allegations of assaulting his ex-girlfriend, a Thai actress named Bell, who has bravely stepped forward to seek justice.

Bell first reached out for public support last week after enduring repeated physical abuse from Kongla, who allegedly threatened her against reporting the assaults, boasting of his father's ability to dismiss any legal complaints due to his influence. Feeling cornered, Bell took her plea for justice public, gaining significant backing from the community.

Details of the abusive relationship reveal that Kongla deceived Bell into believing he would divorce his wife to legitimize their relationship. However, upon Bell's attempts to end the relationship, Kongla's behaviour reportedly turned violent.

The most harrowing incident occurred near Bell's residence, where she was allegedly attacked at night while intoxicated. Kongla is accused of striking her with a hard object, leaving her with a severe head wound and lying exposed until discovered by a neighbour the next morning. The assault reportedly put her at risk of significant blood loss.

Fuelled by public support, Bell filed a complaint leading to a police summons for Kongla, scheduled for June 9. Amid rumours of Kongla's possible flight to evade justice and alleged attempts by his father to influence the case, his appearance at the police station was unexpected.

Accompanied by his lawyer, Kongla presented himself before the police ahead of the scheduled summons. He refused media comment, but his lawyer stated that he aimed to counteract rumors of his alleged escape and the purported influence his father was wielding to absolve him.

However, Kongla had not arranged an appointment, and the officer handling his case was absent. Consequently, police instructed him to return as planned on June 9 to address the charges officially. The case continues to captivate public attention, highlighting the broader issues of domestic violence and the perceived manipulation of justice by those with power or connections.

What a something  or other this guy is.  Married and a beater, innocent until proven, but in the videos I seen he looks like he definitely  did it.  Striking a woman to control her, he is weak.  He tried to shut the ladies friend out of tge room as she recorded his actions.  He wanted to get her alone so he could control her.  This is certainly a case of entitlement and a spoiled something or other.  A man that hits a woman is a coward.
