Evil Penevil Posted Tuesday at 12:11 PM Posted Tuesday at 12:11 PM Swedish Foreign Minister Maria Malmer Stenergard has criticized Greta Thunberg for her social media plea for her friends and supporters to put pressure on the Swedish government to win her release from Israeli custody. According to the Foreign Minister, the video plea resulted in hundreds of people calling the hotline number the Foreign Ministry uses for Swedes in distress while abroad. "This means that there is currently, as a result of this campaign, a very long waiting time that seriously risks affecting Swedes all over the world who need immediate consular assistance, says Malmer Stenergard to journalists." The Foreign Minister describes the action as irresponsible and "very, very serious." "It is obvious that people have been encouraged to contact the Foreign Ministry in a way that risks affecting other Swedish citizens who are actually in distress. Then I think people should think about what responsibility they themselves have in that." https://swedenherald.com/article/swedish-foreign-ministry-monitors-greta-thunbergs-situation-in-gaza When speaking before the Swedish Parliament, Malmer Stenergard said the Foreign Ministry and Swedish embassy in Tel Aviv are monitoring the situation. "Our assessment at present is that no one on board is in danger and that they therefore do not have any need for consular assistance at present." The Foreign Ministry said separately that should Thunberg request consular aid, she would be given it like any other Swedish citizen. Malmer Stenergard emphasized Thunberg and the other activists have a "clear personal responsibility." "The crew and passengers on Madleen are aware of the risks of this campaign, the Foreign Ministry has advised against traveling to Gaza for ten years and they have a clear personal responsibility if they disregard an advisory, which I have also been very clear about in many different contexts, she says in the parliamentary chamber." https://swedenherald.com/article/swedish-foreign-ministry-monitors-greta-thunbergs-situation-in-gaza 2

No more climate activism for her after traveling on an airplane. This yacht selfie trip has really shown the goblin for what she really is. 1 1 1 2 1

So is everyone a Hamas loving anti-semite? Or perhaps I just don't want to see such horrendous things happening to humans. I also don't want to watch videos of people being bombed in Gaza either. Does that make me an pro-IDF anti Palestinian? No, I just don't want to see people getting blown up. You are honestly ridiculous. nobody is suggesting you should watch those videos, but some people need a reality check think of it as akin to showing persistent drunk drivers pictures of the victims of such behaviour. 1

More sailing time = more self publicity ............but less aid It's called using their platform to gain maximum publicity. Not a difficult concept to get your head around for most people. Not self publicity, publicity for what is happening. I know you old geezers get very triggered by this young woman and it is hilarious to see, but no-one can doubt she is very principled, has strong moral beliefs, and is doing what she believes in whether you agree with her position or not. Good for her. 1 1 2

Also the absolute stupidity of her thinking that lots of people all phoning the Swedish Embassy would make any difference at all . Greta illegally crosses a war zone and then wants the public to force her Government to bail her out . She's just an immature little girl full of self importance 1 1 1

Good for her. Did you see the boat? And with about 20 crew? They could not have had much more than a pickup load. She does have a kind mouth...

I have every reason in the world to doubt Greta Thunberg is "very principled" or "has strong moral beliefs," but I'm not going to elaborate because that would provoke argumentative responses and would certainly veer off topic. I will say I don't find the strength of anyone's beliefs helps prove the validity of those beliefs. It's what those beliefs involve that's crucial, not how intensely they are held. I'm sure Hitler, Hamas and Greta all strongly believed in what they did or do, but that doesn't make their hatred of Jews any more acceptable. And on a lighter note ... It seems the Israeli government does have a sense of humor. When they deported Greta, they put her in the worst seat (non-reclinable last row aisle seat next to the toilet) on an El-Al flight to Stockholm via Paris. For a "flight shamer" like Greta, that must have been punishment in more ways than one. 1 1
