Well, the biggly biggest bromance the world has ever seen is inevitably over. Because when two ultra-thin skinned narcissists with delusions of grandeur, both surrounded by "crews" comprised exclusively of a** kissers, get together you know it can't last.

It will be interesting to see what will be posted on "Truth Social" in the coming weeks.

Musk calls Trump’s big tax break bill a ‘disgusting abomination,’ testing his influence over the GOP

https://apnews.com/article/elon-musk-trump-tax-spending-bill-abomination-157b8733b60c343a5f8e551ffc887bf3

" Elon Musk blasted President Donald Trump’s“big, beautiful bill” of tax breaks and spending cuts as a “disgusting abomination” on Tuesday, testing the limits of his political influence as he targeted the centerpiece of Republicans’ legislative agenda.

“This massive, outrageous, pork-filled Congressional spending bill is a disgusting abomination. Shame on those who voted for it: you know you did wrong."

Wait, wait .. isn't this the same guy that you used to love and now hate so much you are torching automobile showrooms and assorted bombings?

This post is just dripping with disingenuousness.

You hate Musk, but if he aids in your attack on Trump he's fine to qote

The mind boggles at the hypocrisy

Government spending is not a problem for you unless it's Republican spending or Trump spending and or helps the side that is not Leftist agenda.

BLM ... Blacks love government spending. They hold something like 15% of federal jobs.

FEM .... No idea here. Maybe you could explain yourself. A man that is FEM but posts a picture of a butch woman. Explanation= lost

...or maybe they just disagree?

...or maybe Musk is now in "businessman mode" and working to get his companies back on track?

There is nothing wrong with being skeptical about ANY government program or bill, especially one of this magnitude. It is almost funny watching the left try to use this as a "wedge" to drive space between Musk and Trump, and to sow dissention in those on the right in general. It won't work.

Now that’s funny the (left) using this as a wedge. to wedge apart!!oh boy dude that’s trumps go to tactic divide confuse lie and defy! Ho ho ho ho that’s a chuckle still all quiet on the tweet front lmao 🤣 bet trump is absolutely steaming!!I do agree Elon is in salvage mode his mask was off folks didn’t like what they see.im still not sure if trumps malignant narcissistic personality disorder will allow him not to attack back, bullies are cowards at heart and Elon isent a defenseless regular person he has power.popcorn at the ready!

There is already dissent among some GOP members of Congress.  At least 6 GOP senators have indicated their displeasure with the bill. And a few House members have expressed some remorse in voting for the measure.

Don't get too hopeful, the GOP holdouts are the usual show horses who hold their breath on teevee but end up caving in at the finish.

Old joke: what's the most dangerous place in the world?

Answer: the space between a camera lens and a US Senator

How would you know, you joined just 7 days ago?

PS. Congrats on hitting the ground running with nearly 30 posts a day. If I didn't know any better I'd say you've done this before.

The posts have been fast and furious. Largely over last 36 hours. I've had time on my hands since Sunday. Life's like that.

I came to ask some questions about a condo. I got sucked into the political machinations of the soapbox sub forum unfortunately.

Must be truly stunning to groupthink lefties where questioning, difference of opinion, and diverse thoughts are non existant and non permitted.

Great to see conservatives free thinking, its a sign of a healthy political movement.

How are those free thinking and diverse thoughts going?

Now now ladies, that was yesterday, kiss and make up!  But really, I'm waiting for the part with the scratching and hair-pulling.

And remember, condoms!

On the other hand there may be a bust of a certain high-profile individual with a private jet for drug trafficking this weekend.  The guy travels with a pretty ample medicine kit.

Per NY Times 06JUN:

“President Trump is the unequivocal leader of the Republican Party, and the vast majority of the country approves of his job performance as president,” Karoline Leavitt, the White House press secretary, said in a statement. “Inflation is down, consumer confidence and wages are up, the jobs report beat expectations for the third month in a row, the border is secure and America is hotter than ever before."

Per Forbes 04JUN:

President Donald Trump’s net approval rating has increased nine points since it reached a low point in April in the latest Economist/YouGov survey—as his poll numbers are slightly above his average approval rating during his first term but below those of almost all other modern presidents.

Two intelligent, powerful men have a difference of opinion on policy.

LOL

Accusing Trump to appear in Epstein files a difference in opinions?

This is not opinion. This is a damning indictment. Trump accused by Musk of being a pedophile. Is this what an intelligent man does when experiencing a "difference of opinion"?

What kind of "intelligent men" are you used to hang out with?

It's not a Trump tax bill.  It is a Congressional boondoggle spending bill.  Elon is right to be pissed.  He spends a lot of time and effort slashing and burning the government, trying to make a difference in spending that is bankrupting the US.  Trump likely wants a balanced budget, but knows Congress will never in a million years go for it, because they want to get reelected.  Almost every elected office will not reduce spending in their district voluntarily.  Cut the other guy's stuff is ok, but not in my district.   Trump tried as 45 to cut some of this stuff, and got his ass handed to him.  Didn't understand how things worked in DC.  Maybe he has a strategy.  He is a great chess player.   Let the good stuff in this bill move forward, get it implemented and then hit them with the whammo cuts two years from now or 4 years from now.  If I understand correctly in the BBB military spending goes up 15%, program spending is still triple 2018 spending.
Some serious belt tightening is going to have to happen....everywhere.....Pentagon, SS and MC, and programs.  Something like 80,000 people work at the Pentagon.  12,000 Air Force stationed in the UK, 35000 in Germany.  Evidently we need to replace 90% of that with Palantir drones.  SS we need to raise the retirement age.  None of this 62 stuff, need to start raising year by year for the younger people.  65 was implemented when people only lived to 68.  Immigration we need to pick and choose the best and the brightest and who will benefit the economy the most.  Free visa for every Filipina RN and train them as PA/NP to do primary care.  Flood the market.  No free for all immigration.  RFK could probably 1/2 medical expenses by outlawing tobacco, THC, and vapes.  NZ did it.

My guess is this is all pure strategy.  Afterall Trump has two SCOTUS to appoint and get through the Senate.  He's probably thinking, ok we'll spend a bit in your district, but you will owe me when I appoint Tyrus and Ted Cruz to SCOTUS.

Can't stand Musk but he's totally right on this one.  Seems there's buyers remorse setting in with some of the idiot House Republicans who voted for the 'disgusting abomination' without even reading what was in it.

It's disgraceful that something so huge and wide reaching would be passed by people who didn't even read it. It just shows it really is a cult. Coupled with late night submissions designed so people wouldn't have time to go through them, it's pretty disgraceful. Yet the monkeys still clapped and voted for it. Then afterwards went "Oops". Here's one genius who only read it after she voted for it:

https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2025/jun/03/marjorie-taylor-greene-trump-tax-bill

“Full transparency, I did not know about this section on pages 278-279 of the OBBB that strips states of the right to make laws or regulate AI for 10 years,” Greene wrote on X. “I am adamantly OPPOSED to this and it is a violation of state rights and I would have voted NO if I had known this was in there.”

Democratic lawmakers, who all voted against the bill, responded with incredulity to Greene’s admission.

“You have one job. To. Read. The. F****g. Bill,” Representative Eric Swalwell wrote in response.

Representative Ted Lieu said he had read the AI provision beforehand and “that’s one reason I voted no on the GOP’s big, ugly bill”, he posted on X. “PRO TIP: It’s helpful to read stuff before voting on it.”

Representative Mark Pocan was more forward: “Read the f****g bill instead of clapping for it like a performing monkey. You should have done your job while it was written. You didn’t. You own that vote.”

United States of America. R.I.P. You won't be missed by many.
