I get the feeling his thread title is clickbait and the whole thread smells of troll.

And local HIV 'outbreak' isn't easy to know about or report because the virus takes years to rear its head and become known.

I think the OP just wants some attention, and succeeded.

I think 2long doesn’t/ can’t watch Thai news.

It has been well reported in the news and on Facebook.

HIV risk of transmission less than 1% unprotected? BS, it depends a lot on who is receiving what type of sex NOT your sexual preference.

A meta-analysis of 10 studies exploring the risk of transmission through vaginal sex was published in 2009.4 It is estimated the risk of HIV transmission through receptive vaginal sex (receiving the penis in the vagina) to be 0.08% (equivalent to 1 transmission per 1,250 exposures).

A meta-analysis of three studies exploring the risk from insertive vaginal sex (inserting the penis into the vagina) was estimated to be 0.04% (equivalent to 1 transmission per 2,500 exposures).4

A teacher I was bonkig in nong khai was infected unknown to me at the time ,I went bareback and never caught anything ,I was worried for 3 months ,and she subsequently died. But years later I am still alive..

So we put you down for the second option.

Lucky escape.

And @Harrisfan proves that it isn’t just the hookers you need to be careful of in Thailand.

And let’s face the reality, most women will not reveal their past prostitution or even true body count.

Did you ever find out how she thought she contracted it?

Before you correct someone you should actually get your facts right otherwise it makes you look like a complete plonker..

https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC1127372/

evidence from over 40 studies which shows that male circumcision provides significant protection against HIV infection; circumcised males are two to eight times less likely to become infected with HIV.2 Furthermore, circumcision also protects against other sexually transmitted infections, such as syphilis and gonorrhoea,3,4 and since people who have a sexually transmitted infection are two to five times more likely to become infected with HIV,5 circumcision may be even more protective.

Regardless, systematic studies find women generally prefer circumcised men, across all cultures, even in cultures where it is not the norm. The most prominent reasons stated are that they find it more attractive, they appreciate the greater hygiene, and increased sexual pleasure.

Besides having some medical and hygienic benefits, a circumcised penis is more attractive. There is a survey that given a choice, 89% of girls preferred a circumcised penis, and only 11% prefer an uncircumcised penis

I agree you are a "plonker". You obviously get asked many times whether you're cut or not, maybe because you have some sort of illness, or you look ill.

Now "plonker", anyone can find studies for and against circumcision-and again, it's obvious you do not know how to wash yourself and keep yourself clean, hence your parents decided you needed to be cut. Now run along "plonker".

https://www.reuters.com/article/business/healthcare-pharmaceuticals/male-circumcision-tied-to-less-sexual-pleasure-idUSBRE91D1CP/

While some argue that neonatal circumcision offers certain benefits, pediatricians like the RACP generally acknowledge that the evidence supporting routine circumcision for non-medical reasons is not strong and the risks outweigh the potential benefits. Many major medical organizations do not recommend it, and some have even concluded that the risks outweigh the benefits.

Here's a more detailed look:
  • Lack of strong evidence:
Studies have found that routine circumcision does not significantly reduce the risk of sexually transmitted diseases or other health problems later in life.

  • Potential risks:
While complications are rare, they can occur, and the procedure can cause pain and potentially have long-lasting psychological effects

You are no doubt suffering long-lasting psychological effects. This is borne out by your posts.

That was a quite pathetic comeback really.

You made a mistake, learn from it.

You patently can't read English, nor can you comprehend it. You're in dire need of a psychologist.

only 7,000 HIV infections in the US in 2022??? That's in a population of 350 million. That's basically nothing even. You have probably have a great chance to die from a hammer falling on your head.

You can't go by statistics.

What are the odds of an American male 26 years old getting HIV ...

1. Morman, married three kids

2. Sex tourist visiting Pattaya for two weeks every six months, engaging in anal sex with male prostitutes.

Hardly the same.

And the other STDs also.

The girls also prefer circumcised, much more aesthetically pleasing and no smelly cheese.

Makes sense.

No they don't...the babes here do not give a rat's ass whether you are cut or not.  I am un cut and all they care about is my ATM!

Indeed. Even so 7000 non-gay drug users getting HIV out of 350 million is insanely low.

Looking for stats to compare by. It's about the same as hand gun homicides? That's lower than I thought.

A gay man has 3x higher chance to get HIV then be a homicide victim by hand gun. How's that for a stat. 😂

Shocking. Well, from a group that has chemsex and coined the term snowballing 🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️

Yet the behavior goes on as your graphics clearly indicate.

..and after nearly half a century of education, gay clinics and drag queer story hour.

I guess it's the pride 🏳️‍🌈.

Receptive anal intercourse: 138

Insertive anal intercourse: 11

Receptive penile-vaginal intercourse: 8

Insertive penile-vaginal intercourse: 4

Oral sex (receptive or insertive): Low risk

Thanks.

I don't believe that those statistics would be equal amongst male homosexuals and male heterosexuals. As Ryan statistics point out the HIV rates amongst mil homosexuals is basically where the bulk of HIV exists and always has

Think much of your information is just common sense. I am surprised that oral sex is as low as it is. I think many people have very poor oral hygiene and pyorrhea.

I don't at all disagree that far easier catching chlamydia than it is HIV nevertheless the precautions are the same.

If you get a <deleted> in Pattaya without a condom you're virtually guaranteed of getting a dose of chlamydia.

* Getting back to the op. Lest we forget that the bulk of sex workers in Pattaya come from Issarn

They wouldn't care. All Thai men are uncut. Many when confronted with a oops no condom scenario if you look, smell clean I'm guessing they'll do you and not even ask for more money.

Recently, my very handsome bil got circumcised. He said he was having problems with infections.

Was she a virgin when you met her?

And if she wasn’t did you take her take down to the clinic to get her tested first?

She could have anything.

That is the question.

Hospitals all have pre marriage packages. Check for everything.

Hepatitis is shockingly high in this country. About 25 years ago I knew a guy who contracted hep c.  He was gritty AF but still seemed it was taking a toll. He was on meds or whatever they do. He was married as well. Oops.
