I have believed from day one that Israel should not stop until Hamas has been obliterated.  While the tactics may sound horrendous, no one has a solution to on how to stop the evil Hamas.

The U.S. lost in Iraq and Afghanistan because of "rules of engagement."  Israel does not intend to make the same mistake.

The US didn't lose the Iraq war.

Israel should have turned them to dust.

The USA should stay out of it

Fat chance of that happening.  But then again, isn't that what AIPAC is all about?  Lobby the government, get America to so their dirty work. Some people thinks it's genocide.

I try not to dwell on the nonsense. It's a problem that goes back thousands of years.

At this point, Israel has all the US arms it needs.  Let them do what they want from here on out.

No, the main man who represents Palestine is Abbas, nice try but huge fail.

Palestinian president urges Hamas to lay down arms

RAMALLAH, April 23 (Reuters) - Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas called on Hamas on Wednesday to lay down arms and hand the running of Gaza to his Palestinian Authority, part of efforts to answer international doubts over the authority's role at a key moment for the region.
Abbas was speaking at a leadership council where he is expected this week to name a successor amid pressure from Western and Arab powers concerned about the PA's ability to play a viable-long term role in peace efforts.

You have devoted a lot of time researching everything Gaza.

From a historical standpoint to a modern day perspective.

The Op is relatively new to the back & forth , I think !

Hamas using human shields , lying & misleading accounts of events, surly confused many.

And now  they/ them putting the blame on Bibi.

I used to think the same.

The ambassador says there is a solution. Let all hostages go and give Palestine a State.

The people holding the hostages need to be bought to justice .

Israel needs to arrest the people involved , put them all on trial for war crimes and pass sentence of found to be guilty .

There must be thousands involved who need to have a Court hearing

The Palestinian ambassador, who is not a member of Hamas, he represents Palestine. He talks of Hamas being one of many political parties. Well worth taking the time to watch.

High ranking member of Fatah and the PLO. The only difference between them and Hamas, in Gaza, is that Hamas slaughtered them first.

The Palestinian ambassador to the UK in the interview called the administrative detainees “hostages”. Prisoners or hostages in both sides have to be released, do you agree?

In April 2022, there were 4,450 Palestinian security prisoners in Israeli prisons – including 160 children, 32 women, and over 1,000 "administrative detainees" (indefinitely incarcerated without charge)

No, the Palestinian prisoners being held in Israeli jails are for crimes committed .

They have been tried in Court and been given jail time for their crimes . The hostages in Gaza haven't committed any crimes .

Dont you know the difference between a convicted criminal and a hostage ?

I said the ambassador to the UK called them hostages. You are very quick to slander anyone pointing out Israeli crimes. Try for a second to see it from both sides Do you think it’s OK  to detain people with no trial?

As you don’t understand what administrative detainee means.

https://www.btselem.org/administrative_detention

In administrative detention, a person is held without trial without having committed an offense, on the grounds that he or she plans to break the law in the future. As this measure is supposed to be preventive, it has no time limit. The person is detained without legal proceedings, by order of the regional military commander, based on classified evidence that is not revealed to them. This leaves the detainees helpless – facing unknown allegations with no way to disprove them, not knowing when they will be released, and without being charged, tried or convicted.

Yes, I have changed my mind since October 7th. My initial reaction was that Israel should try and exercise a little bit of restraint (think that have been doing). Now I say that should take the gloves off and grind their bones into dust. Adopt the Hamas charter but just change the names around.
