Nope, I've been riding here for years, I can tell what the Thai's are doing, where they are going, how they will react etc.

A foreigner is unpredictable, you got to be cautious around them.

So now you're "superior" genes has you able to read the minds of Thais. Keep it coming, as I'm not the only one who's amused.

I don't mean this as an insult, but if he genuinely "came out of nowhere", there is probably a chance that you might be able to drive a little more sensibly.

I think driving in a straight line is sensible, He came from behind on my nearside, unfortunately I can't be looking in my mirrors 100% of the time,  I noticed him a second before he hit my mirror, is this sensible enough or have you got another theory?

In my humble experience, Forza riders are predominantly in a class of their own. 'Nuff said. :coffee1:

Oh yeah, I keep getting you and the Ready guy mixed up, you both attack me for my justified, negative foreigner comments.

In Pattaya, we have many foreign tourists on their motorbikes, these people are dangerous, you must watch for them, most are incompetent.

Are you looking in your mirrors every few seconds?  Also, if you didn't hear him, perhaps a less noisy helmet might help.

You don't get attacked, you just claim anyone pointing out your racism and wildly incorrect comments is attacking you.  And your comments aren't justified, as you try to pretend other foreigners are bad, and Thais are good, even when the reverse is true.

Everyone here knows some foreigners behave badly. Mostly the tourists. Some who live here do strange things but it still doesn't compare to what the locals do daily. The fact remains, again, is that locals account for 99% of the crimes, so why are you concentrating on dissing just the foreigners? It would make more sense to diss where it belongs. Anyone can look back and see that almost all of your comments have something in there that disses foreigners. All it takes is for a topic to mention foreigners and off you go.

You have to notice by now all the comments and thumbs downs you receive, and it's not by just me. or the Ready guy. There's only a few here that do this constantly, but why? If it happened once in awhile I would understand but every reply? Do you hate foreigners for some reason? "The worse things about Thailand are the foreigners", is what you've said a few times. I pointed out things that are much worse.

Thais/Malays/Chinese are 99% of the population. That's why they commit 99% of the offences.

What on earth are you on about, hear him amongst maybe 20 or more bikes going in the same direction plus many cars and bikes going the opposite way, does the Forza have a  special sound I should know about? What a stupid ridiculous comment.

Yes I look in my mirrors often, any other stupid comments.

My god how stupid can one person be  read your  comment again just to confirm how stupid it was.

No he didn't want to fight me, according to him It was me who wanted to fight him, he admitted to having a bad day and himself being very angry so obviously took it out on me, he hit me trying to get through a gap which was too small.

No problem taking criticism from sensible people but not someone that makes a stupid comment.

I'm a sensible person and made a very intelligent comment.

If being able to maintain awareness of your surroundings is becoming challenging for you, maybe it's time to hang up the helmet and catch the bus.

I've been driving here for 18 yrs never had a major problem untill today, I'm driving along all of a sudden a farang on his forza going fast tried to get past through a small gap on my nearside, he hit my wing mirror quite hard, I lost my temper as anyone would, he then started shouting, he came up to me trying to kick me off my bike, now chasing me, hit me on my helmet as he past, shouting again, I wasn't going  to stop until it was in a safe place to do so, stopped at a market, he came up to me saying you kicked my bike, I said "what are you talking about, why are you being so aggressive"? I did nothing other than get a bit angry, "why did you kick my bike, why did you hit my helmet" his reply "I thought you wanted to fight" Ridiculous.

I can't drive anymore sensible then I do already, I'm not an aggressive person I just want to enjoy riding and get to where I am going safely, what is wrong with people?

I'm seriously considering giving up riding but it's all I've got, it's dangerous on the roads, other cars, other bikes and crazy people.

Feeling despondent, I did nothing wrong

Tell me you're in Pattaya or Patong, without telling me you're Pattaya or Patong !!!!

No... not as anyone would - part of the problem perhaps.. your reaction escalated.

I got hit by a kid pulling out of a junction a few months back...  getting angry isn't the option... Just pull over and see if there is any damage.

Wife had an accident recently; other guy said it was her fault but didn't get angry, police said it was his fault done - but if no damage no harm...

When you lost your temper, are you sure you didn't kick out at him or shout some bad language at him to trigger his further aggression ?

He was of course wrong for a) hitting you and b) kicking at you while riding - some very unhinged people out there, stay safe...

As mentioned already - its good to have a dash-cam on your bike.

I can recommend the company Innov for forward and rear facing cams designed specificially for motorcycles (hard wired in - easy enough installation).

This is why I don't like walking up and down the Cow on my occasional visits to Pattaya. Too many foreigners on bikes riding badly. Thai drivers/riders seem to know how to navigate around pedestrians, many (most?) foreign motorcylists in Pattaya seem intent on crashing into us.

No I didn't kick out at him, yes I shouted more out of shock as it startled me, soon as he hit my mirror he went crazy, I'm over it, I'm still breathing, he went way over the top, he admitted he was angry because his day had been bad, I dread to think about the outcome if he had managed to push Me into the on coming traffic.

Live another day, I will look into video for a bike.

To be honest it's affected me, I can't believe how crazy he was, when we stopped at the market he was calm, first thing he said was sorry I'm angry I've had a bad day  my day could have been very bad.

Some crazies out there - but this guy seemed exceptionally unhinged...

Where was it ?

Wear your full face helmet, AirWave Protective riding jacket (elbow, shoulder, back protector), Riding Gloves, city riding boots (as below)...    Protect tourself where practical and ride as defensivey as you can... thats all you can do.

Here's a link to the Innov (expensive)...  but it can prove your innocence when another to$$er rides into you, cuts you off etc...

These boots look like normal footwear, but are reinforced, so better than trainers...
