Xarelto (Rivaroxaban) 10 mg Bayer -- anybody see lower than 1,400 baht / 10 tablets?

A few of the pharmacies near Mahidol, West of Victory Monument, sell Bayer 10 mg Xarelto for 1,400 baht / 10 tablet box.   A few are more expensive, and the rest don't stock it.

Has anybody seen a lower price for 10mg tablets of Bayer Xarelto?   A bigger box would be fine.  I know the other Thai pharmacy names, so no need to just list them.

This is mid-term follow up for (likely 2nd) unprovoked DVT, thigh, middle-aged female.  Do not want to use cheaper but higher dose -- just looking for a lower 10mg price.

Thanks in advance, Retiree

If you are set on Xarelto brand you are not likely to get this for much less, since it is an import.

There are locally made generic equivalents that would be less e.g.

Rivoxan

Roxaban

Thank you for your advice.  This is what's approved for sale, besides Xarelto:

https://www.mims.com/thailand/drug/info/rivaroxaban?mtype=generic

  • Rivoxam 15, 20
  • Roxaban 20
  • Rivarox-20 20
  • Rivaxored 10, 15, 20

Rivaxored is manufactured by the Indian company Dr. Reddy's Laboratories, which has had some difficulties in the past.  Would this concern you, or would you consider overall risk of manufacturing issues to be extremely low?

Sorry, I overlooked the dosage issue.  The 2 locally made brands here (

Rivoxam and Roxaban) do nto come in 10 mg dose.

So that would leave only Rivaxored  as alternative to Xarelto.

Quality would probably be OK but I agree, not as certain as for Bayer.

I just paid 1,260 for an India-made box of 30, Victory Monument area.

Was this the Dr.Reddy 10mg dosage?

Are they scored?  Because I'm a cheap bastard and have no issues breaking one in half if it saves me a wad.

Years ago, I got in the habit of requesting the Thai made alternatives to spendy western prescriptions.  Most of mine have been heart related, and I don't ever remember being disappointed with the local made meds.

Edit:  I'd add that I had many follow ups after my 4x bypass at Bumrungrad, and my results were always as expected after taking the cheaper local meds.  I didn't notice any difference with the high priced alternatives, and neither did my docs.

Medsafe online store 20mg is cheaper than your price for 10mg.

Medisafe is 100% reliable..as for lower price...take a look, or call them.

My 10 mg Rivalox was 1,260 for 30 pills; the 30 mg Rivalox was 1,750 for 30 pills. These prices are much less than what Fascino charges.

They are film coated tabs, not scored.

Good info.  If I hadn't been lazy, I'd have pulled out my Chinese generics and checked that they weren't scored, either capsules or coated.  These are 20s as well.  Coated and not scored.
