In a bizarre incident in Loei Province, Thailand, a woman's unusual claim that her husband was possessed by a ghost is adding a supernatural twist to an otherwise troubling tale of reckless driving and alleged drug use. The events unfolded on Sunday, June 8, when a sedan driven by a reportedly 31-year-old man crashed into an electric bicycle and a sidecar motorcycle, leading to injuries and trauma for several people.

The man's erratic driving was documented in CCTV footage shared by victims Arnutsara, 39, and Orrawan, 33, who sought justice for their family members through Channel 3. In the footage, the driver can be seen speeding through a narrow alley and nearly crashing into Arnutsara’s daughter, who narrowly escaped harm on her motorcycle. The driver then reversed, allegedly attempting to hit her again, but she fled the scene unharmed.

Further into the video, the sedan driver can be seen hitting Orrawan’s 11-year-old son on the arm before once again reversing in an apparent attempt to strike him. The child managed to escape, but the vehicle continued its reckless trajectory, crashing into a man and his five-year-old son on a sidecar motorcycle. The young boy fell from the vehicle, and the driver failed to stop or check on the victims.

Following the incident, Arnutsara and Orrawan reported the collision to Erawan Police Station, prompting a police investigation on June 9. The driver, who tested positive for drugs, apologised and agreed to compensate the motorcyclist and his son with 40,000 baht. Despite the positive drug test, the police released the suspect without pressing charges, sparking concern and frustration from the victims' families.

In an unexpected development, the driver’s wife claimed that her husband had been possessed by a ghost at the time of the incident. According to her, he returned home exhibiting strange behaviour, including performing traditional Thai dances and groaning in apparent pain. Seeking spiritual intervention, she took him to a medium for an exorcism the following day. She apologised publicly and vowed measures to prevent similar events in the future.

As of now, police have not commented on the legal ramifications of the driver's drug use. The extraordinary claim of ghost possession adds a layer of complexity to the case, leaving many questions unanswered about the driver's accountability and the police response to this potentially dangerous situation. The incident underscores the importance of addressing substance misuse and ensuring road safety to protect communities from similar disturbances.

Blah. Blah. Blah. Blame it all on the ghost. Let Casper be the judge. He will say "Go straight to jail. Do not pass Go.: This driver was clearly under the influence of illegal drugs and his wife promptly pushed the blame onto the ghost/s. I hope some real spirits will punish the wrong-doers for their terrible actions.

The ghosts' name was Yaba with a side of homemade alcohol. But in true thai tradition any excuse given justifies their bad and destructive behavior

I do believe in ghosts and possession.

Perhaps it's easier to get possessed by a ghost when you are drunk or on drugs.

That's the time you speak to frogs😂
