An early morning shooting incident at a townhouse in Bangkok's Don Mueang district has left two teenagers injured. Police Lieutenant Colonel Jarukit Janrada, along with the 191 patrol unit and Don Mueang patrol officers, responded to the scene on Soi Veluwanaram 21 at 2 am, June 12.

The victims, a 16-year-old referred to as A and a 14-year-old referred to as B, sustained gunshot wounds. A was hit in the abdomen and left arm, while B suffered injuries to the right thigh and abdomen. Volunteers from the Poh Teck Tung Foundation administered first aid before transferring them to Bhumibol Adulyadej Hospital for further treatment.

Police found six to seven bullet casings from a 12-gauge firearm scattered at the scene, which has since been secured for a forensic examination.

According to the teenagers' account, the incident unfolded as they returned home on a motorcycle and were chased by a group of four to five individuals on motorcycles. In a bid to seek refuge, they entered their home, but the assailants fired several shots, wounding them. At the time, eight to nine friends were inside the house playing games and quickly rushed to aid the injured victims.

The teenagers suspect the shooting might have been a case of mistaken identity, as they are unaware of any conflicts with others. Initial findings indicate that two of the attackers were riding a black Honda Wave motorcycle without a license plate. The shooter, who was the pillion, was dressed in a black long-sleeved shirt and a full-face helmet.

Police are actively investigating the case. They are interviewing the victims' friends and reviewing CCTV footage in an effort to identify and apprehend the suspects involved. The motive behind the attack remains unclear, and authorities are working diligently to bring those responsible to justice.
