My agent failed to inform me that I cannot file my 90 days report later than 7 days

Do it online in 5 minutes, they even send you a reminder, why pay an agent anything?

It's not that simple really; is it?

Are you admitting to an illegal visa or saying you don't get TM47emails from immigration every 3 months? They Email me the day before the filing period starts, every time.

they only do that when you have been filing online

Did it always say 5k but the fine was always 2k or is this new?

The fine at immigration is 2000b.

If occurs that no report has been made and for example you are arrested for something unrelated then fine is 5k

Thinking that you are referring to online reporting.

In any event the reminder emails can be problematic.

Best to enter due date and window open date in your cell Google Calendar.

Right, like if you are not using an agent. 90 day reports take 5 minutes, super easy.

Read the posts.

Online reporting is problematic for MANY.

And no it's not down to not incorrect filing.

On top of that reporting after travel abroad needs to be done in person.

Never had a problem reporting.  TM30s are tricky, TM47s are easy.

Often suggested and yes the fine will be same. 2000b

Personally I would suggest you do it prior to extension esp if due several months away.

I arrived in Thailand with a re entry permit on 28th May, can you tell me the date of my 90 day report? Thanks.

I google "may 28 plus 89 days 2025"

This gives attached result.

Day 1 is the day you enter Thailand.

People should note that for online reporting and report via mail... That should be done as soon as report window opens which is 15 days prior.

Off topic tip for anyone taking Thai to Japan... strangely day 1 is after date of arrival for 15 day visa exempt count.

I was supposed to file my 90 day report on the 6th June but it seems there was some kind of misunderstanding that I could submit it 14 days after due date. Now its already the 18th and I will have to pay a penalty. is it usually the responsibility of the visa agent to make sure clients file on time or responsibility of the client themselves

You need to know the law yourself.

What. Online reporting?

If you follow the forum there are countless threads regarding unsuccessful online reporting.

And no it's  not incorrect applications

Not for those that follow the rules. It was a bit rough when they started the online filing, but that was years ago. Now it works fine, unless your information is inaccurate because you left it in the hands of an agent.

Absolute nonsense.

Also on top of all the issues in the past, currently the 90 report must be done in person after trips abroad.

Not nonsense at all. An agent will have your information listing where it works for them, plus, it is easy for your TM30 to be out of sync with your TM47. This will lead to denials for data matching.

If you need to report in person, then go do it. That is part of following the rules. So is having 800k in the bank.

Oh please.

Firstly financial requirements for annual extensions is a Red Herring.

Has zero to do with 90 day reporting.

As for report in person, you clearly are not a long distance from immigration office or deal with a place such as CW.

Or perhaps you never leave Thailand.

Or perhaps live handy to immigration office.

They attempted to sync TM30 with 90 repprting and as a result we now have IT kindergarten 101.

The changes that were previously made (2020) to simplify things were thrown out with the sink.

You are not a programmer, are you?

It takes about two hours to get to the IO. A reason to go visit the big city.

Same applies to free versions of paid software, in that you get what you pay for.

@cjinchiangrai does make a point, it's not nonsense.

A number of local expats were having issues with 90 day online reporting, complaining it never worked for them.

Out of 5 I assisted, two used an agent, their extensions being issued by Khon Kaen, yet they were trying to submit 90 day reports to Roi Et. They had no idea whether the agent was submitting reports as part of the arrangement, and didn't understand why they would have to file a new TM30 at Roi Et for them to file there.

Successfully filed and received approval for another 3 who were simply incorrectly filling the online TM47. Tending to type information (with spelling errors) rather than select from the drop-down boxes. I assume they are now successfully completing the online form, as they haven't complained since.

I was not referring to reports done via agents.

Rather the system in general.

Like many I have have very checkered history with online reporting.

Even after doing it in person I have had non approval with the subsequent online report.

Apart from that next month I do quick trip to Saigon. Upon return I'm expected to hoof it to CW to do in person reporting..

What a farce of a system. Dark ages stuff.

The online reporting for those that never/hardly ever doing trips, abroad then they most likely have consistent success.

Just so everyone is aware
ONCE you manage to get a 90 day report approved on the 90 day reporting online program you DO NOT have you type in anything more than your passport and then select your nationality after that

The system will auto fill the data from the previous approved 90 day report

Just do the personal information then press the blue magnifying glass icon. Only thing you have to remember is if you got a new extension between the last 90 day report and when you're filing so you can adjust the expiration date 🙂

The trip will take you away from behind that keyboard Jack and give you a break. Think 5,000 steps a day.  :sorry:

Yes, I have to agree, some of their systems are antiquated.

 Bit off topic however.

.... My Google Calendar has my report window open Monday (tomorrow)

Just now received reminder email to do my Report.

Obviously will use the autofil option when I do it tomorrow..
