"Bed fellows" of the 3rd kind.

Indeed, strange "bed-fellows". Please, not in a context with politics or sexual encounters.

I wake up with a little part of my skin "itching". Before, I started to scrach, making things worse.

(Looks like a 3 millimeter volcano, in the center a little hole, less than a millimeter, hardly noticable).

I stopped scratching, instead I use a cotton puff, drenched in 70% alcohol, applying to the affected area. Rubbing it over the "volcano" for a minute or so.

With extremely good results. The "volcano" goes to sleep, not expanding, the itch is gone. Not affecting my daily life in any other way.

But still: What could be my "bed fellows"?

If bedbugs there would be multiple bites and it would occur every night.

For a single occurrence  could be many things including spider.  No way to be sure.

Sandfly bites are what you're describing. It's called leishmaniasis, which is the infection caused by the bites themselves. This link shows the differences...........https://www.prevention.com/health/g33011148/common-bug-bite-pictures/

Thanks for link. The pictures show many "bites". I only get bitten every 2 to 3 days by a single bite. After that, the "attacker" goes on holiday for 2 to 3 days.

In closing, I would like to refer to my "remedy" I posted in my OP.

Upon first "itch", don't start to scrach, although this may be a basic instinct. Instead:

- Take a cotton puff, saturated with 70% medicinal alcohol (not to be confused with Mekong-Booze). Apply to affected aera, slightly rubbing for about 1 minute. = Problem solved! 100% success rate.

I could imagine that this procedure could work for a numeber of insect bites, if immediately applyied after the first itch.

I would like to invite posters, after having "bitten" by some insects and having applied my "remedy" to report back here. If that works on a "lage scale" I expect to receive the Nobel Price for "preventive medicine".🙂

Bed bugs

Nope, they leave at least 2, but usually 3 bite sites. (At least the ones from our former side of the world do).

Hi Sheryl, I should have looked through all the responses to see yours.  I think you've nailed it. IMHO  (But that's okay. I can always notch a good comment to my tally of former bad ones. 🤣)

What ever your biter is spray your mattress both sides and the bed base with white vinegar they don’t like it because it kills them.

Also if you buy yourself a rechargeable   ( use your telephone charger if it does not come with one )  blue light bug killer and leave it on, it makes the bugs infertile so they do not breed and just die out, so any eggs the vinegar misses will hatch out infertile.

Only flying bugs mosi’s ect will be captured by the bug killer but the blue light radiating out from it is what stops the bugs screwing so put it under your bed where the light will not annoy you
