Medical prices are continuously going up, though still much cheaper than the Western World... ps - I never thought anything about being elderly was going to be easier... and so far, I am right, at least for myself... however, I do not find that Thai people are less respectful.

Is it because you cannot accept that the locals - all of them - around you look down on you? In Thailand, respect is not earned. You are born into a position that commands respect. And as a farang, you are born a farang, you cannot change this. Sorry. You appear to be the only one suggesting this. Speaks volumes.

I have met many army folks who parachute, diving, paragliding, ouring motorbikes as a group, as well entrepreneurs who treat you as equal because we have something in common to share. But if you come to a 5 star hotel or resort with your isaan girl, no Hiso want to have anything with you to do. Just how it is

No, they are not cheaper than the "Western World", whatever that may mean. They are cheaper then in the US, but more expensive than non-subsidized prices in Europe.

Then, many are truely f###ed. I know some people like this. They NEED to work and can still perform their functions but are retired at 60. These are low level workers just barely getting by on less than 10,000/month. If their kids don't provide for them they will suffer greatly.

Work in your home country and accumulate wealth and assets, then retire and have your fun. My wife worked in said country and came to Canada with more savings in her bank account than the average Canadian.
