So I do like German breakfasts, cold cuts great bread etc.

That being said.

As a young man I used to do a lot of work in the UK, and was introduced to this wonder breakfast item 'Fried bread'

I'm pretty sure my arteries have suffered, but OMG, white bread, and fry it! Stuff to die for.

German cold cuts as much as I like it can't beat fried bread

Don't be ridiculous. Of course German cold cuts beat fried bread, and easily.

German breakfast is the best in the world, bar none, and the reasons are two-fold 1) Germans do bread better than any other nation in the world, even the baguette and croissant are originally German/Austrian 2) German cold cuts are by far the best in the world, nobody does sausages and cold cuts better than the Germans, that includes the French, Spanish  and Italians who have one or two honourable  entries such as Saucisson Sec, Serrano Ham and Parma Ham, but just as with bread, the sheer variety of cold cuts in Germany is astounding and of a quality other nations can only dream of.

The fried bread, baked beans, bacon and eggs from Britain is good, not saying it's not, but German breakfast is a cut above all others.

One thing on my list to buy when we move back home, besides a good coffeemaker, is a bread maker. My daughter makes some, had a little when I visited last year, and it was good.

We also have a breadmaker. Is very convenient and the result is satisfying/good.

You have to experience a bit, as the recipe given in the manuals might differ to the ingrediences you get here.

For Chiang Mai: Yok has a wide range of different needs. Imported ingriedences for bread-making are not really expensive, as you need only small amounts of them.

Bread making has to do with try and learn - learn and try. Good luck. And stick to it. It's woth it.

Bread/rolls, cold cuts, cheese, jam (no orange😄), boiled egg (other styles ok),  coffee and juice.

The quality of bread is essential and hard to find even in Pattaya.

Cheese being expensive so here you get the most basic stuff.

Not on a German breakfast: sliced and roasted white bread although often seen for cost reasons, beans, grilled sausage, hash browns etc.

For convenience I mostly go for English in Pattaya. German not many in central Pattaya.

At home have proper handmade rye bread and rolls. Cold cuts and cheese from delikatessen shopping.

Generally I think English breakfast is easier to do in Thailand except for the sausage that can vary widely in quality.

Being English I do like an english breakfast (had some pretty good ones on my visits to Pattaya) but when I visited Vietnam I loved the breakfasts in the the hotels, the bread rolls were delicious

I frequently attend Auf Der Au German buffet breakfast in Chiang Mai (250bht).

Lots of sausages and ham, lots of different dark breads, no fried or scrambled eggs or bacon.

I like the fried fish in breadcrumbs as well.

Here's one I ate earlier ........

Well, but it's far away from "German Breakfast", where you would expect dozens of different rolls, butter, juices, jams, cheese, cold cuts, Yoghurt, coffee/tea, tomatoes, apple, avocado, maybe more even.

At least more healthy than this mashed crap from the Island.

Free tea and coffee. At 250 Baht for an 'all-you-can-eat' meal with dozens and dozens of freshly-made options (the staff is continually bringing out refills for the various offerings,)  it's one hell of a good deal. Add in the fact that the food is delicious, and it just makes it that much better.

Once a month you'll see us there.

Their pork legs are so delicious 😋

But every time I gained about 2kgs on weight.😂

Nothing beats a proper English breakfast.

Best in the world.

I am Norwegian and will agree that an English Breakfast is the best, but a bit much to start the day with! Good? OH YES!! But as a LUNCH only! 😂

I'll pass on the fried bread, but do like the Beerhouse Special at the Old German Beer House on Soi 13 in Bangkok.

A good cheap breafast is pad thai or fried rice. 50 or 60 baht. I often have late breakfast and just fried rice.

Have you tried just steamed white rice? It's much healthier because there is no cooking oil.

I always thought that German breakfast came in a large glass.

Well, you thought wrong. Beer in Bavaria / Germany counts as staple food (Grundnahrunsmittel).

So if you take a beer, you must also have something to drink -> second beer...
