It will do him well. Make a man out of him. Don't (illegally!) lead him on the way to cowardice. Be a real man, and let him become one too.

I don't know if you were conscripted, as I was, but it is everything except becoming a man, unless you consider cleaning the floor, standing guard or playing football as necessary to become a man...while losing 2 years of your youth...

Looking for someone who knows a reliable contact in Sisaket, in order to avoid conscription for my son next year. Reward if successful.

These seem to be the only way out........

Exemptions and Deferments:
  • Medical: Individuals with disqualifying medical conditions can be exempt from service... Education: Those enrolled in higher education or the Territorial Defense Program can defer their service..Profession: Certain professions, like monks of a specific rank, are also exempt..Studying Abroad: Male Thai citizens can defer service by studying abroad.

He will avoid conscription if he picks a black card.

Let him do it. Don't pay for him to avoid his responsibility. It might turn him into a "money matters most" sort of person.

Everyone has to attend and pick a card unless they have a disability or stay in full time, further education. Even then, after finishing their studies, they may have to attend a lesser program. One of my students qualified as a dentist. Upon qualification he attended as a dentist within the armed services for 6 months.

There is also an exemption for those that chose to study "Ror Dor" at school.

You can enrol in certain schools which have the Ror Dor program.

It's something more scouts like, where they get physical training, but it's only a few days a month, and after 3 year they are excempt from the lottery

They don't all go, you pay not to have to. Go to recruit training day and see how many expensive cars of parents are parked up!

Yes, i know. Read my comment. It's not just certain schools. All schools governed by OBEC have Ror Dor from year 10 to 12.

Thats not what you said. You've changed your story.

Even poor people sometimes find the money for a bribe.

As I said, all males gave to go. They sll have to register. What they do when they get there is, in some cases, a different matter. A bribe is to say they've been and drew black. Not that they didn't have to go.
