Bangkok police have successfully arrested a 45-year-old man, known as a key figure in the drug trade within the Thonburi area.

 

In a significant crackdown, authorities seized a staggering 600,000 methamphetamine pills, along with 4 kilograms of crystal methamphetamine and 56 kilograms of ketamine. The suspect, identified as Vasupol, also known by his alias Boy, was captured on June 25 at approximately 5 p.m.

 

The operation was orchestrated under the leadership of Police Lieutenant General Siam Boonsom in collaboration with senior officials. A dedicated team from the Metropolitan Police Bureau, led by Police Colonel Chotichuang Ratsamee, executed the arrest.

 

The investigation focused on dismantling a larger drug network, starting with smaller dealers in Bangkok. This led the authorities to a major operation hub in Soi Chom Thong 3, where the network was reportedly storing drug supplies in vehicles for distribution.

 

Law enforcement closely monitored Vasupol's movements and detained him upon arrival at the scene. During the arrest, Vasupol confessed to having keys to vehicles that were being used to store the illicit substances.

 

A thorough search of two vehicles uncovered a massive haul of methamphetamine pills, crystal methamphetamine, and ketamine, confirming the scale of the operation.

 

Following the bust, Vasupol was taken into custody, and the evidence was transported to the Metropolitan Police Bureau 8 for further processing. Authorities are continuing their investigation to locate additional drug storage sites.

Is the Boy related to Interpol by any chance?

Can somebody please explain to me why almost all drug busts have ketamine (a downer) and also methamphetamine, (an upper)?

 

Don't both drugs have totally opposite reactions?
